How to buy Sky Glass
Sky Glass is now available to order. All you have to do is go to the website, create an account, and follow the steps to choose your plan. You can choose the TV model, the corresponding payment plan and add your entertainment subscription (and broadband too, if you want).
You can buy the TV now from the Sky Glass website.
As the TV includes a Sky package, you can’t buy it from regular retailers like Amazon and Currys.
Sky Glass Payment Plans
If you want to buy Sky Glass, you will need to choose how you want to pay. You can either pay the cost of the TV upfront all at once or choose to spread the payment over a 24 month/48 month contract.
Prices have increased since the TV launched, but here are the costs for each option:
Sky Glass Outright Costs
- 43in – £699
- 55in – £949
- 65in – £1,199
Costs of the 24-month Sky Glass contract
- 43in – £28 per month (total cost £672)
- 55in – £38 per month (total cost £912)
- 65in – £48 per month (total cost £1,152)
Costs of the 48-month Sky Glass contract
- 43in – £14 per month (total cost £672)
- 55in – £19 per month (total cost £912)
- 65in – £24 per month (total cost £1,152)
While you’ll save money overall with contracts, keep in mind that you’ll be locked in with this TV for the long haul. In addition, there is also a small initial fee for each of the contracts. It’s £20 for 24 month contracts and £10 for 48 month contracts.
Sky Entertainment packages and extras
Once you’ve chosen your TV size and color, you’ll need to add your entertainment package. Sky offers different packages, some with Netflix, some with Sports and more.
Plans start from £24 per month and are available on a rolling 31-day contract, so you can upgrade if you wish.
Plus, if you want Sky in the rest of your house on other TVs, then you’ve got a Sky Stream washer and a Whole Home subscription. This requires an initial cost of £50 for each puck unit and £12 per month on top of your contract.
It’s worth noting that Ultra HDR and Dolby Atmos aren’t included in your standard plan. You will need to pay an extra £6 per month for this.
If you cancel your Sky entertainment package then in theory the TV could still work with apps such as Netflix or with a Freeview antenna/box. However, if you’re stuck with monthly TV payments, you’ll still need to stick with it.
