How to Compare PC Monitoring on Windows for free

compare, free, monitoring, Windows

When we buy a new track, it comes with its own factory settings (except in some cases for pre-calibrated factory monitors) and, as a general rule, tends to be a disaster depending on color schemes, so it is necessary to measure them.

Prepare to monitor

Before proceeding with the precautionary measure we must take some changes to ensure the result is correct. To start, make sure you Monitoring lasted for at least 30 minutes to make sure that the results are accurate and consistent. You should also make sure that it works with its traditional solution, that is, if the monitor is Full HD, you are set to Full HD on the operating system.

Once this is done, enter the OSD menu of the monitor itself and make the following settings:

  • Set the "Normal" or "Default" profile, or if the hacker allows it, create a custom profile.
  • 35% light.
  • Compare 70%.
  • Color temperature is 6500K.
  • Disable any "enhanced" technology, such as "Digital Noise Reduction," "Dynamic Backlight Control," "Motion Interpurity," or "Local LED Light."

These numbers may seem like a contradiction, but the maximum light correction for most monitors is around this signal as the average brightness is 120 cd / m2. By the way don't worry if the monitor doesn't look good to put this correction, because as we said we're just preparing and from now on we will imitate it.

Additional note: the precautionary measure is appropriate in certain lighting conditions, so it's important to do it in a light room where you usually use a monitor. If you measure the monitor during the day, it may not look good at night, so in this case it would be best to create two profiles, one during the day and one at night, so you can easily switch between them.

How to balance monitoring

There are many tools that allow you to measure free monitoring, but few are as sensitive and as perfect Lagom monitor test drive, so that's what we're going to use. In addition, we do not have to install anything completely because everything will work directly in the Internet browser (recommended by Google Chrome), and we have to make sure perform full screen calibration (by pressing F11 key).

Adjust black levels

We start by correcting the black levels because they have very visual effects. To do this, we have to click on "Level Black" in the top menu.

Here we will see a series of squares of different colors for blacks, in the range from 1 (pure black) to 255 (pure white). With this screen shot you should reduce or increase the brightness monitor (from your menu) until the area around the wards is almost as dark as the square value.

If the background is already in this condition, then you have to increase the light to a little gray, but only slightly, then lower the light again until it is completely dark again (this way we are sure).

We'll be able to correctly adjust this level when square 1 is not even visible, confused with the background, and especially up to 10 squares, we should see them slightly gray.

Set the best difference

We move on to the next point, which is the "White Saturdayation" test set on the right of the recently used Black Level.

Here, what we will see will be a square again, but from 200 to 254, to white 255. In this case, the parameter we will need to change in the contrast monitoring menu.

The first thing we should do is to maximize the difference as much as possible, before the appearance of an aura around 255. You will find that the samples blooming in the bottom row will disappear, so from here you should gradually decrease the difference until You can see the last four samples (from 251 to 254).

If a sample 254 is visible, you will know that you are the best adjustments.

Improved lighting and contrast adjustment

For a good light fixture and monitor contrast, we will use the «Compare» test, on the left menu.

Here we have to look at the color scale, too we will add a bit of light and we fail to see the darkest part of them, with the number 1 on the left. Make sure that you do not emit too much light that the dark part becomes gray.

At this point, you should be able to divide the numbers 30, 31 and 32 on the scale. If not, maximize the small difference of the monitor until you can distinguish it.

Sharpness and gamma

To access the Sharpness pattern, we have to click on the Sharpness icon in the menu.

This pattern looks better by being away from the screen. The idea is to look at the pattern remotely and adjust the monitor's watch parameter until we see the image of the uniform grade. The two images above and below show how the stiffness pattern is associated with the correction when viewed remotely.

Once you have done that, we will know for sure that the observer is rated without investing.
