Laptops have turned into power in recent years, but there's one compromise that's hard to beat: the small screen.
Unless you have one of the larger screens on laptops (usually 17 inches), this ratio will continue to be small for many considering the large screen size monitor.
So when you're at the table, it's worth connecting a great deal of caution to make things easier. You can also continue to use the laptop screen to get more space on your desktop.
An increasingly popular option is a portable watch that can be picked up and supported by a USB-C port. The Lenovo M14, It's a great example and it's not too expensive, because it costs $ 199 (210 euros).
Most laptops have at least one connector that can be used to connect the tracker, be it HDMI, VGA, DVI or DisplayPort. Some very compact laptops require an adapter because there is no space for full-size DisplayPort or HDMI output, and this does not always provide the box.
Although we talk about laptops, it's just as easy to connect a second screen to the PC: just look and see which ports are back.
If you do not have an additional mirror yet, be sure to select one by installing your computer's opt-out. We currently have a list of our recommendations from
Sometimes it is possible to mix and match other digital options. For example, you can convert DVI to HDMI on a basic cable. But you can't convert an analog signal (such as VGA) into digital, such as HDMI, without a functioning electronic box – any active cables for sale will not work.
New laptops can have a single USB-C port. This is the same physical link you will find on new Android phones. It is interchangeable and you can buy a USB-C to HDMI cable, or USB-C to DisplayPort, depending on your installation of your screen.
This is what you should look for on all laptops and on the track:
How to set the second screen on Windows
Once you've connected the right cable between the laptop and the tracker (and connected the track to the light if necessary) it's time to get Windows ready to use both displays
In most cases, Windows will automatically detect when the tracker is connected and enabled, doubling the contents of the laptop screen to it. If you don't see anything on the screen, use its buttons to find a menu and see if you can select the right video entry, because not all of them will automatically convert to the input of the incoming video signal.
Then right-click on a Windows computer and select & # 39; Display Settings & # 39; Or click & # 39; Getting Started, Settings & System & # 39; Here you will find options such as texture, text size and adjustment.
How to double or expand the Windows desktop to two monitors
You have several choices of what to display on each screen.
– Repeat: The second monitor shows what's on the screen of your laptop.
– Expand: The Windows desktop is spread across two monitors.
– Only show 1 or 2: Only one screen will be used (click & # 39; Point & # 39; to see which one is).
One way to switch between these methods is to look for the function key in the top row of keys on a laptop that shows two monitors. Press the & # 39; Fn & # 39; s key with that function key and you must toggle between different settings: laptop screen only, laptop screen + external screen, external screen only.
In almost all cases, you will have to choose & # 39; Maximize these screens & # 39; s so that you can treat the second guard as a separate desktop where you can use a different program than the one shown on your laptop screen.
Then drag the 2 monitor into the drawing below the heading & # 39; Make your screen & # 39; go to where we are physically on your desktop. By default, it's located on the right-hand side of your laptop screen, which would be great if that's where you put it.
If the resolution of the track is larger than that of your laptop, the rectangle will be larger for this drawing, you can't do anything with the right monitor size.
You can either drag the second track icon so the edges are aligned, or you can have the same place above and below: it's just for you. But keep in mind that this will affect the way you have to move the mouse between the screens.
Note that each screen adjustment is optimized with the traditional resolution of each text: you may need to look at the placement if you do not already know these figures.
On high-resolution screens (especially 4K monitors), you'll probably want to use the & # 39; Slider slider, apps and other items & # 39; s to make sure everything is easy to read. Normal settings are 150% – 250%.
When you are satisfied or satisfied, click & # 39; Apply & # 39; and the changes you have made will be displayed on the monitor connected to your laptop.
And now you can use connected viewing as a laptop screen: you can put shortcut icons on it, open apps and use different applications.
