Looks like when you're in a hurry, the computer is slow. The only reason PCs slow down is that they don't have enough RAM to perform the tasks we need, but fortunately this problem has a simple solution. On the other hand, of course, you can do it add more RAM physically on a PC, but on another you can try free RAM so that more energy can be generated.
Restart PC constantly
It is true that every time you call a computer when you have problems with a PC, the first thing that tells you to restart. It looks like a title, but nothing else comes out of the truth: restarting the PC resets all the processes in memory, initially, only the programs we originally selected will be loaded.
In other words, when we use a PC for a long time, the "remainder" of the programs is always in the form of RAM, even with the "zombie" processes, and only by starting them when we will uninstall them.
Seriously: in case of doubt, if the PC is slow, start all over again. The thing could be better.
Remove unnecessary programs
Something else will sound obvious, but that's very helpful. Occasionally it is possible to review the programs you have installed and delete those you do not need, especially those that have memory-based processes. To see the programs you have installed and the processes available in memory (which are our favorite now to free up RAM), press CTRL + MAYS + ESC and click on the Start tab. There you will see them all.
Check RAM usage
If you've already removed programs that you don't use but still have a little RAM available, it's a good idea to see which programs use the most RAM to try to uninstall. To do this, restart the CTRL + MAYS + ESC manager and go to the Processes tab, your first time. If you click on "Memory", you will schedule all open processes for the amount of RAM they use.
Other ways to free up RAM
So far we've told you the most obvious ways that can help you release more RAM and that the PC doesn't slow down so much, but there are some things to keep in mind:
- Check that you have no malware: Even if you have antivirus in your system, you may be infected with malware or other malicious programs that consume computer RAM. Use software such as MalwareBytes to make sure everything is running smoothly.
- Check that antivirus is not running in the background: If you have antivirus without Windows Defender, you may have set it to work in the background and, while the program is scanning, everything will be reduced and RAM usage will increase.
- Reduce the number of programs that run on startup: In the "delete unnecessary programs" section you can see the programs that were created earlier. Right-clicking and selecting "disable", you will be preventing it from activating the PC or uninstalling it.
Final solution: clean the wrap file
The wrap file is a hard disk space used by Windows as a virtual RAM when the computer's RAM is full. When you turn off the computer, what has PC RAM is empty, but not a wrap file and as a result we will not free memory. Fortunately, there is a way to make Windows redundant in this wrap file when we turn off the computer.
To do this, the first thing you need to do is install the regedit tool. Click on Start and simply type reed access
Once inside, you must enter the following route:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory Management
Next, look for "clearPageFileAtShutdown" value, double-click on it and in the window that opens, change the value from 0 to 1.
Press Accept and restart the computer. What we will do with this is that Windows enables a wrap file every time you turn off the computer, which will not only help to free up RAM but to make the PC slower.
