How to make a PC boot faster

boot, faster

The Windows 10 operating system is probably Microsoft's best done so far thanks to a large amount of efficiency and security improvements. However, it has many parameters and settings preloaded with that makes the PC take longer to start. Fortunately, we also have the opportunity to change the configuration, lightening up and running the PC boot faster. Let's see them.

Enable Windows 10 fast startup

Quick startup is a Windows feature that configures it in such a way that when you turn it off, everything stays as it will need to restart, so you won't have to load it all the time. This is It means the device will take some time to shut down, but restoring the PC will have a faster boot.

To use it, right-click on the first icon, and select «Power Options». In the window that opens, select "Additional power settings" on the right.

A new window will open, and in it you should select "Select start function / shutter keys" on the left side.

Another window will be opened. In this case, we have to go to the bottom area where we can run the "Activate startup (recommended)" box immediately.

Once this is done, you can save and close all windows.

Configure MSConfig

MSConfig is another tool that appears on Windows, even though Windows 10 is much slower than before. In any case, it helps us to make a PC boot faster by fixing some things. To access, press WIN + R or right-click on the first icon and select "Run". In the window that opens, type "msconfig" without quotes and press to accept.

A window will open. Here we can touch several parameters, but this one we like to speed up the PC boot on the "Boot" tab, also called "No GUI Boot" or "No GUI boot". This will remove the development bar that pops up when running PC, but it will help the system get started faster.

Remove programs that start with Windows

One of the things users can have more control over in Windows is the installation of apps, and many of them have wires running and they always have memories when we start the PC, but they are actually not needed. The first step, of course, is to uninstall all the programs you don't need, but once that's done we can make certain threads not start We don't need it when we start PC.

To do this you have to log in to Windows Task Manager, and as a result we press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and select "Task Manager", or right-click on the empty space in the startup bar and select the same one. Once inside, we should go to the "Start" tab

Here we can apply to all programs we deem unnecessary during the implementation of the program. To do this, you will have to right click on each of them and select "Disable".

Decrease start menu time

We can still do one thing to minimize the time it takes for the PC to start, and also reduce the time when the start menu is displayed (Note: this is for users only, since it is not always possible unless you reinstall the operating system without formatting or installing several apps).

To access this menu, you must right-click on the first icon and select «Program». In the window that opens, click on "Information System" in the right pane.

In the window that opens, click on "Advanced system settings" on the left.

A new window will be opened. In this one, you should go to the "Advanced Options" tab, then click the "Settings" button under the "Start and retrieve" section.

A new window will open, and here you should configure the "Show apps list …". Either reduce the time (minimum 3 seconds) or use it continuously. Similar to the option "Show recovery options with …".

Once changed, click Accept and we can close some windows. Now, to test if this change has come into effect, you should completely shut down the PC (not restart) and then reboot it. As a general rule, it will take a little bit to bend.
