The installation units at 5.25 inch bay are a very simple process. Nor is it a particular sensitive process. Unlike what it would be like to ride a hard drive at 3.5 inch bay. Which means we shouldn't do it with proper care.
Remove the front of the box
The first step we will take when installing one of these units, as we always tell you, turn off your PC. Once turned off, the next thing will be to connect it to a power connection. Fuel the capacitors in the equipment. To do this, you must press the system power button for 10 or 15 seconds, continuously.
Once the capacitors are removed, we will continue to remove them side covers box.
We need to do this step for two reasons:
- The 5.25-inch bombs carry the propulsion it'll screw up on both sides of the lake.
- We need to delete forward from our box.
Now we have to remove it forward box, as we mentioned. Each box holds its own shape. Some use screws (at least). The most common is that they use them plastic clips which fits into the chassis of the interior of the box.
We need to do this step to access the hold clips front cover covers of 5.25 inches. These clips are usually located on the front back we just removed. Now, there are models of computers that need to remove your front to access clips. Therefore, before performing this step, we recommend that you make sure it is required for your box.
Assemble and secure the 5.25 inch drive to the bay
Once you have removed the 5.25-inch bay cover, your box may also use a metal cover on its chassis. You can see these types of covers in the previous image. You also have to remove the corresponding bay where you will install the unit.
Now we're going to get the front of the box back to ours box With this, we can leave the front of the unit so that it doesn't get out of the box itself.

As you can see in the picture, the bay has a series of drives. Thankfully we can play with the distance that corresponds to the front of our box. Also, using the corresponding one screws, We can leave this blur at the front of the box.
You also see that the bay has four screw holes. For speed reasons, it is possible to use only two screws. But the best way we can leave the unit attached to the bay is to use 4 holes with the associated screws. There are also boxes that use programs for maintenance «Small-Tool» however, with these boxes, they usually allow the use of some type of vaccine to keep it very safe.
Once you have done these steps, you will be done installation of a side unit of 5.25 inches. If this unit requires some form of power supply, it will be time to connect these wires. Also data, if needed.
