How to pin WhatsApp messages and chats

If you use WhatsApp a lot, you may have felt frustrated when you can’t find a message or chat that you know exists, but is either way down in the chat list or buried within a conversation. somewhere.

At the top of the screen, you will see some new icons appear. Select the one that looks like a pin and the chat will now stay at the top of your list. If you want to pin multiple chats, simply repeat this process.

Untie the cat

If you no longer need chat at the top of your list, simply replace the steps above and this time tap the unpin icon.

How to pin WhatsApp messages (smartphone)

If you want to remember or quickly access certain messages, they can be pinned to the top of a discussion. This could be useful if you have a date for something you need to remember or perhaps an outstanding task to complete.

Here’s what you need to do to pin Whatsapp messages in chats.

Step 1) Find the message

To begin the process, locate the message you want to pin, then long-press it until the menu options appear.

At the top of the screen, you will see the three-dot menu icon. Tap it to open other menu options.

Step 3) Pin the post

From the options that appear, select Pin.

Step 4) Set the deadline

WhatsApp allows you to pin the message to the top of the chat for three periods: 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Select the duration you need, then tap Pin to complete the process.

Step 5) Your post is now pinned

You should now see that the message you selected is pinned to the top of the chat conversation. It will stay here for the duration you set, so you can find it easily.

WhatsApp now lets you pin three messages to the top of a chat, so you can repeat these steps to add a few more (if the feature has been rolled out to your region). You can also unpin any post by repeating the steps above and selecting the Unpin option instead.

How to Pin WhatsApp Chats (Desktop/Web)

If you use WhatsApp on your desktop or via the web version, you can still take advantage of the pinning feature. Here’s what you need to do.

Locate the chat you want to pin at the top of the list, then click the down arrow that appears below the time of the last message sent from the chat.

Step 3) Your discussion is pinned

You should now see the pinned chat at the top of the list of chats in your feed. You can pin multiple discussions at any time. If you no longer need it, simply repeat the process and select the Remove Pin option.

How to Pin WhatsApp Messages (Desktop/Web)

If you want to pin certain messages in a chat, here’s how to do it.

Step 1) Find the message

Locate the post you want to pin, then click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the post.

From the menu options that appear, select Pin

Step 3) Choose the duration

You will then have three choices for how long you want the message to be pinned to the top of the chat. Select the one that suits your needs, click Pin and you should now see the message at the top of your chat.

You can add multiple posts (if the feature has been rolled out to your region), and when you’re done with them, simply repeat the process and select Remove Pin to remove them.
