How to watch Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral live

Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, TV stations around the world will be showing the late monarch’s state funeral next Monday, a day that will also be a national holiday and mourning in the UK.

The Queen of England will be buried in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle alongside her husband, Prince Philip, who died in April last year.

The Queen’s body is currently in Westminster Hall, London, where the public has lined up for hours and hours to bid her a final goodbye. This will also be where the state funeral will be held, which will be attended by more than 2,000 guests.

When will Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral take place?

Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will take place next time Monday, September 19, 2022 at Westminster Abbey, London. It will start at 11:00 a.m. local UK time, while in your country it is:

Many outlets are likely to begin coverage earlier. The coffin is due to join the procession at 10:35 a.m. local time (half an hour before the funeral), and a chariot carrying weapons will leave shortly after. The state funeral will end with two minutes of nationwide silence.

The coffin will then be placed in the State Hearse at Wellington’s Arch and then proceed to Windsor Castle where the ceremony and private burial will take place.

It doesn’t look like there will be a Spanish TV channel doing a special program to broadcast Isabella II’s funeral. This does not mean that you cannot follow it live, because at this time there are many channels offering informative programs.
