The Batman is a film we’ve been waiting for for a long time: initially it would be the iconic Ben Affleck who would bring the Dark Knight to life, as well as directing and writing the screenplay for the film.
However, the project does not seem to be moving forward. The actor eventually left the film, until it was picked up, but with several changes. The main of these changes and, surely the most obvious, is that the actor who will bring this new Batman to life will be Robert Pattinson (whom you will know from Twilight or Harry Potter, among many other films).
When was The Batman released?
Good news: it will be this year (finally). The film will be released on March 4, 2022after the previous date of June 2021 was postponed.
The March 4 date refers to its theatrical premiere, but we will have to wait until April 19 to see it on streaming platforms.
Where can we see Batman?
From March 4 you can see it in the most important cinemas in Europe. If you wish, you can closely follow official cinema sites such as Yelmo Cines or Cinesa, to be aware of ticket pre-sales.
However, the film is to be seen from April 19 on the HBO Max platform. To do this, you will need to have a paid subscription to the HBO Europe platform. The truth is that it is a platform that is worth it for the quality of its content. So if you’re used to watching movies and series, an HBO Max subscription could be a very good investment.
What will the new Batman movie be about?
Two years have passed since the existence of Batman, a superhero who roams the streets of Gotham City making any criminal tremble with fear. Bruce Wayne has few allies: Alfred Pennyworth and the having James Gordon. However, corruption within the police force makes Batman the only true vigilante in town.
The official synopsis says the following:
“When an assassin targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic schemes, a trail of cryptic clues sends the world’s greatest detective on an investigation into the underworld where he meets Selina Kyle/aka Catwoman, Oswald Cobblepot/aka The Penguin, Carmine Falcone and Edward Nashton / aka Riddler As the evidence begins to close in on his house and the scope of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.”

Who is playing in The Batman 2022?
As we explained above, Batman will be played by Robert Pattinson. We will see. The role of Catwoman, which we will also see in the film, will be in the hands of Zoe Kravitz.
Collin Farrell will play The Penguin, Paul Dano will play The Riddler and Andy Serkins will play Alfred Pennyworth.
