The Brit Awards are back for 2023, and with performances from Stormzy, Lizzo and Harry Styles, it’s going to be a night to remember.
Here’s everything you need to know, including the time, TV channel, artists and nominees. We also have all the information you need to watch the award show from outside the UK.
When are the Brit Awards 2023?
The Brit Awards will take place on Saturday February 11 at 8:30 p.m. GMT at the O2 in London. If you’re based in the UK capital (or are willing to travel), tickets for the event are on sale now.
What channel are the 2023 Brit Awards airing on?
In the UK, the Brit Awards will be shown on ITV1 and coverage will last just over two hours. You can also get behind-the-scenes coverage from 7.30pm GMT on ITV2 with interviews from artists, nominees and guest presenters.
Red carpet coverage will also be streamed live on YouTube, TikTok, Twitter and Facebook for anyone outside the UK.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like any international channel will be airing the main show. However, if you’re not in the UK and still want to get online, there is a way.
How to watch the Brit Awards 2023 online
Some performances will be available on YouTube after the show ends, but if you want to watch the entire ceremony in its TV format, you can do so via the ITV catch-up service. If you are in the UK, it is quite easy to watch ITV1 online through various devices. Just use ITVX.
Those outside the UK will need to use a VPN to access ITVX. VPNs route your internet to another server somewhere else on the web. This means you can bypass geo-restrictions on certain websites. In other words, you can sign up for ITVX from outside the UK.
We managed to create an account using NordVPN, which offers fast performance, a good range of servers, and competitive pricing, especially if you opt for the two-year plan. However, it is still possible to subscribe to a rolling monthly subscription.
Here are the exact steps you need to follow:
- Time to complete: 5 minutes
- Tools required: VPN, ITVX website or app, smartphone or laptop/PC
Sign up for NordVPN

If you’re on PC, go to the NordVPN website, log into your account, then download the PC app from the section called “Downloads”.
If you’re using a smartphone or tablet, just search for NordVPN in the App Store.

Connect to a UK server on your VPN
Dominik Tomaszewski / Foundry
Many VPNs have many servers to choose from, so if one doesn’t work, you can try another.
Launch ITVX
Hannah Cowton / Foundry
Access the ITVX website or app on the same device – it should treat you as if you were in the UK.
If for some reason that doesn’t work, try switching to another UK server on your VPN – streaming platforms like ITVX try to block known VPN IP addresses, so you may need to try a few different servers first to find one that works.
It’s also worth noting that if you have an ad blocker enabled, ITVX may block it – and as some VPNs have ad blocking built in, you may need to disable this part of the software.
Subscribe to ITVX

If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for an ITVX account to watch. You will need to enter a valid email address, date of birth and UK postcode. Then you should be able to log in normally.
Head to the ‘live’ tab when The Brits airs

Once the show is over, The Brits should also be available as a catch-up.
