In 2019, the podcast was created The stall presented by the American journalist Rebecca Jarvis. It explores the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes, founder of the Theranos company.
Three years later, the TV adaptation of that podcast hits the small screen in which Amanda Seyfried plays the disgraced Washington DC entrepreneur.
If you’ve come this far, it’s more than likely because you want to learn more about Holmes’s story. And what could be better than with this original miniseries from Hulu. We know how you can see it from home.
When was The Dropout released?
As we said, The stall is a Hulu original series and premiered on this platform on March 3. However, we have very little left to enjoy outside of the United States as well.
Concretely, it will be the next April 20 when Disney+, through its Star catalog, presents a preview of the mini-series created by Elizabeth Meriwether. It has a total of 8 episodes which will air at the same time.
What is The Dropout series about? Who is Elizabeth Holmes?
The stallboth the series and the podcast, tells the story of Elizabeth Holmes, an American entrepreneur who, in 2003, founded the health technology company called Theranos.
Holmes, only 19 years old and with no previous experience, claimed to have developed a blood analysis system which, with a small amount of blood, could perform laboratory tests.
Holmes’ ability to relate and conviction led him to raise over $700 million from investors, but the company’s value plummeted when it was shown that they had committed fraud.
Who appears in The Dropout?
Amanda Seyfried is the actress assigned to play Elizabeth Holmes, while Naveen Andrews plays Sunny Balwani, her then-partner and chairman of Theranos.
They also go out The stall Utkarsh Ambudkar, Michel Gill, Bill Irwin, William H. Macy, Elizabeth Marvel, Laurie Metcalf, Kate Burton, Stephen Fry, Dylan Minnette, among others.
How to watch The Dropout
next April 20, The stall will land on Disney+, the official way to watch the miniseries in Europe and Latin America (and any country other than the United States).
All you need to do is make sure you have a Disney+ account, which is as easy as going to the Disney+ website to sign up. It has a monthly price of $8.99 per month or $89.90 per year in Europe (check price in Latin America here).
One of the advantages of Disney+ is that you can access the platform from any device with an Internet connection (mobile, Tabletcomputer, Smart TV, etc.).
If you don’t have a smart TV, you can connect your mobile phone or laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable or a dongle type Google Chromecast to mirror the screen on the TV.
The first episodes of The stall are already available on Hulu (the last one will air on April 7). If you can’t wait for it to come to Disney+, we’ve got the solution.
In this case, you will have to resort to the old VPN trick. We explain the full process in the article on how to watch Hulu outside the US, but the bottom line is that you’ll need to install a VPN connection on your device (like NordVPN, for example).
