Kingston announced the series back in August last year and was first introduced in January as a version of Cloud Flight, which became the first company to charge Qi wireless charging, and consequently became its second product with this type of charging. and the HyperX Pulsefire Dart Wireless mouse.
Headers associated with ChargePlay Charging Basis which we will see over time, and that it can charge two devices simultaneously with power up to 10 W in each part, and maximum power up to 15 W through both distances.

Its battery lasts longer 30 hours, but the best part is that they have Qi for wireless charging. Because of this, we can leave them on top of the wireless charger and sit them on top of the battery without worrying about how much is left over.
To charge them you just have to put the left handset out (which is an apartment) above the charging base, placed there because according to the company, it's more accurate because that's where the wires tend to be on headsets because most people have a right hand, and so we don't get upset when we move a hand and mouse.
So, we get headsets with a 2.4 GHz wireless connection with a diameter of up to 20 mm and where we have 50 mm drivers, with the option to use virtual 7.1 with the NGENUITY program. The frequency response is 10 Hz to 22 kHz, with 32 ohms impedance and audio pressure of 99.5 dBSPL / mW at 1 kHz.
The headphones weigh about 320 grams with a microphone on it, and 310 grams without them. The microphone uses an electret condenser, commirectional with noise cancellation, and is subjected to a frequency of 50 Hz to 18 kHz. Sensor -40.5 dBV (1V / Pa at 1kHz)
The headphones work on PC, PS4 and PS4 Pro, but not on the Xbox One, because Microsoft requires third-party headphones to use their direct connection with the Xbox. Therefore, you cannot use these headers on the Xbox, as they have no jack.
Inbox and outbox updates
The headphone box has a white and red finish, where headphones and battery life are displayed, and the back of the headset is displayed on the ChargingPlay charging base.
To lower the white protector we get a lot of papers, where we see some HyperX products, a technical service link, a recommendation not to change the battery ourselves, and the original guide.
This guide explains the purpose of each button, how to connect it to a computer, how to configure a microphone, how to operate 7.1, how to control volume or how to charge.
We removed the protective plastic from which the papers were resting, and found a 2.4 GHz wireless detector, headphones, and microphone. Below them we have a silica gel bag and a 1 meter microUSB cord.
Going to headphones, we have a light weight of 310 grams without a microphone. The pills are soft to the touch and bigger than they were before. When we take them with one hand they'll just turn it around, because the phones have a curious device that puts them in the position where we put them around the neck.
The machine has a small metal ball at the bottom, and as we bend the headset, it slides down into the hole. Leaving it again as they move is the same. Although it gives you high quality and a sense of completeness, this forces you to wear them with a headband, which may be uncomfortable if you are used to grabbing them by the heads themselves.
Therefore, each handset rotates to 90 degrees, which is much more comfortable if we want to leave them soft on the table or let them rest on their neck to prevent them from overheating. When we leave them staring at our chest, we don't realize we have them together. In addition, headphones also have a certain level of precision, which fits perfectly in our head.
The closed design of the headphones is a great thanks to the leather pants that distinguish it from any ambient sound even though the sound is not too strong. In addition, even when we are not listening to anything, we may hear someone talking to us in one room. The headband, meanwhile, is also soft and soft to the touch.
Generally, we have a smooth plastic housing that is of the highest quality, ready to make it easy, and where we have no doubt it will have a good durability in this regard.
In the buttons and connection section we have an curious configuration. On the left handsets we have the power button, the 7.1 operating button, the microUSB cable connector, and the jack insert where the microphone is positioned. The power button has a slightly convex design, while the 7.1 is concave, thanks to the fact that we can easily distinguish it when we turn on the headset without looking. The movement of both buttons is very short, and the power button should probably be stronger and stronger.
In the left hand panel we also find two interesting things. The first is that we have four of the most subtle buttons on the headset, customized to make the changes we want at the audio and software level of the NGENUITY company we'll see over time.
The buttons have a convex design to avoid affecting the durability of the headphones. And this tightness is important because we're in this head where the Qi cord coil is wireless, and this is the side we are leaving for the mat.
In the empty right hand it has nothing but the spin control of the infinite spin, and that alerts us to a small beep when it reaches a minimum or maximum. Personally, I find it much more comfortable to have a left-handed adjustment wheel.
This depends on which game you play, because for example in CS: GO while you're at it, it's best to take your left hand for hand use because you use the right one to do it. At Fortnite, however, you can be more relaxed on the left if you go with the map.
Fortunately, to be able to change the settings we want, we can set the custom buttons in the left pane to change the volume if we wish. Another point of interest is that the headset volume changes the volume of Windows and not the headers themselves, such as that of Corsair, where you have to pay attention to the volume of the headers themselves and Windows.
The microphone is removable and flexible, in addition to being airectional. The company does not include any foam protector, which would be much more than reducing the amount of air breathing that can be made when we speak. Fortunately, the foam protector is very important online.
The charging port, unfortunately, is a microUSB instead of USB C, which is one of the few problems that can be found in these headers. Fortunately, wireless charging and a 30-hour battery make you forget what it is to connect headphones.
The height of the headphones is adjustable with 11 different shapes for each head, giving it a wider line to position it the way we like it, giving us a lot more when we have a bigger or smaller headset. The measures are very strong and do not change their position by accident.
Test, software and audio quality
Just put headphones on, the first thing we see is that they are probably the only one they offer. This is achieved by large dots, and also the pressure that the headphones emit on the head, enough to produce audible autonomy, but without irritation even after hours of use. Overall, the headphones work very well, and their weight is very light, weighs less than 300 grams, and weighs just right. A very good statistic considering the good battery life they offer.
To turn it on, we press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, then we hear a small beep and the green light flash. This green light will remain intact if the battery is between 90 and 100% battery. If you are between 15 and 90%, the green light will flash. If it is less than 15%, the light will turn red, in which case we will have less than 15% battery (less than 4 and a half hours).
Audio quality
In games, the shape of these heads is amazing. In fact, they are the best I've tried in CS: GO, where I shouldn't have to search the radar to find enemies or sounds.
This music also sounds amazing with headphones, with powerful bass and full body without losing a single media detail and treble. Generally sound quality is all the best we can ask for high quality headphones, whether it be sports or not. A large range of frequency is capable of reproducing, providing good body and great separation without losing one detail.
The films also have a great sound quality in action scenes, with good stereo shape. However, in some movies a large amount of Windows is not enough, and we don't have the headset itself to load it. For video-only movies, we may need to increase the volume somehow with the amplifier using the software.
With regard to the sound imitation of 7.1, this kind of work is often used mostly in movie theaters, because in competitive games it can be misleading. The implementation of Kingston doesn't improve much from what we get from this kind of simulation. As soon as we use it, we see how the sound sounds, is very sharp, metallic, and with the complete absence of bass. When setting up enemies, it's worse than stereo mode, as is the case with all 7.1 modes of play on the market.
In the case of movies, the 7.1 sound introduces some immersion, but alternating with losing enough bass. Here may be those who wish to use the function to obtain a different sound.
A minor disadvantage of headphones is that, when operating and no sound is heard, a background background is heard. This is commonly heard on many headphones, but here are some extra calls. For example, the sound is heard when we watch a video on YouTube and pause it. However, when we close the browser, the songs stop sounding, because no "active" program will emit sound. In movies where there are very quiet scenes it can also be seen, as is happening in conversations without sound.
microphone audio quality
The microphone sounds very good, and because of its precise sound, no other sounds can be heard when we use it. The only thing missing is a microphone foam for protecting sounds like our breath, but we can add it later. You can hear how it sounds in the following Soundcloud link:
Button with headers, we should automatically turn on the sound of the microphone when we press down. Knowing that the microphone is muted, a small red LED between the cable and the microphone itself illuminates the fact that it is muted. If there is no light, then the sound is active.
Software: BYUUity
In the software section we will see all the customizable settings from the Tool provided by Kingston, and all that we can do with the buttons available on the left.
An app, called HyperX BY NITY, it's available in the Microsoft Store at this link, and once we install it, we'll get the option to update the firmware, when it asks us not to disconnect calls while we make it.
Once we are rejuvenated, we already have all the options available to us. We can control the volume of headphones, microphone, and perform tasks such as microphone monitoring (Sidetone) and virtual 7.1 audio, as well as game / Balance control of the game. At the top we can see the percentage of battery left on the headphones, which may be one of the tasks we look for most in that program once we have configured headphones if we like.
It's a discussion in gaming and we have two exciting activities. The first is to monitor the microphone, which when activated allows us to hear our voice in the headlines, because it is too much for us to listen to. Of course, the microphone won't capture some of the direct sounds, because the distance is very short.
Second, we also get the game / chat moderation option, which allows us to change the priority percentage of the volume we want to give you a game or voice chat without leaving the game, and regardless of the volume as a whole. This option is available on PC only.
The system also allows us to have predefined settings that we can download as soon as we open the game, be able to uninstall, delete, or add others we have saved as backup. Each group of presets can be assigned to a specific game or program by Gamelink in the Configuration section, so that the profile is automatically changed when we open it.
At this stage we can also choose to have the program run when we start the computer, or decide whether the program will be slowed down instead of shutting down when we press the nearby icon. We can also choose if we want to show us notifications, and to reset the default values or request technical support.
The software also has special features for building games such as CS: GO, CoD: Modern Wars, Apex Fables, Fortnite, Overwatch, Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG.
In the buttons section we can change the side buttons for headphones. By default, buttons are designed to:
- Above: Launch of microphone monitoring
- Below: Mute Output
- Left: A balance game
- Right: Balance chat
Among the options we can select for each button we get to activate Sidetone, Game Mixer, Chater Mixer, Mute Microphone, Play / Pause, Next, Previous, volume Mute, Mute all, Increase volume, Increase volume volume and lower microphone volume
The basic function we miss is the relative weight of the various profiles to adjust it according to our liking. For example, there are certain frequencies I'd personally like to hear a bit, and it's a shame that NGENUITY doesn't allow it. I hope they will post it soon.
Wireless charging and cable
With wire charging, it is made of microUSB wire. The included cable measures only one meter, so if we want to use headphones while charging, we'll either have to buy a longer one or be lucky to have a keyboard and USB connector. Installing one of two meters would not be complete, since a wireless charging base can be selected.
Kingston provided us with a ChargePlay charging base for review. This charging base is not included with the headphones and should be purchased separately, at a price of 67.61 euros on Amazon at the time of writing this review. This base, as we mentioned, has a load capacity of up to 10 W per unit and 15 W if we charge two devices at the same time. Headphones charge at 3 W. So, we can charge our cell phones at 10 W on one side and headsets at 3 W on the other, and still have 2 W on the other.
Wireless charging is really free. We just have to place the headset properly aligned on top of the charging base, and it will start charging.
However, headphones make a small digital noise when charging, which, when close to the ear, is uncomfortable. In the next video we hear it.
The headphones have both subtle external faces, but the wireless charging should be done by placing the left on the base, since it is the carrier of the copper coil on the Qi side. However, it is in the feed set where the battery is located, something we notice when we simply lift them by weight.
Conclusion
Wireless charging and amazing battery life make these wireless gaming headsets a real opportunity to try, since you can completely stream cables. 30 hours of battery assures us weeks of evenly used playtime, and furthermore we have the comfort of leaving it on top of the charging base and always have it up to a maximum battery for use.
The emergence of the environment in relation to Cloud Flight is impressive, with changes such as better wrap or wireless charging. However, another truly distinguishing change would be the installation of USB C or Bluetooth connectivity to use with the cell phone.
The audio quality is amazing, where we take a look at one of the best game headsets on the market in terms of performance and battery life. These are the most important features when buying a wireless headset, with HyperX Cloud Flight S in addition to experiencing both.
However, there are some minor uncomfortable features, such as that the sounds can be heard when the phones are closed and we are not listening to anything, the small noise made by the headlines over the wireless charging, or the absence of a microphone Foam protector. Minor features that may or may not be very important, but that prevent the product from being perfect. Despite living very close to it.
So, the HyperX Cloud Flight S takes our platinum medal and our compliments on audio quality.
Its PVP is 169,99 euros, and is not on sale as of today.
