The peripheral manufacturer AZIO has been offering us the range for a long time Retro Classic, a range of keyboards which, as we can deduce from its name, offer us a classic aesthetic and which have been very well received by users. The success has been such that it has focused its efforts in recent months on the creation of a new range of keyboards called RC Prestige.
AZIO RC Prestige retro keyboards
The main difference, aesthetically compared to the Retro Classic range, is found in the design of the keys. While the keyboards of the Retro Classic range have circular keyboards, simulating those that can be found in old typewriters, this one presents us with a design square with rounded edgesa design that gives a very special touch to the keyboard.
The new range of AZIO RC Prestige keyboards is available in versions Ebony Yes Ivory. The Ebony version features a front adorned with a black wood finish with a bronze aluminum frame with black accents with silver edges. The Ivory version offers a striking contrast with a white leather body under a silver aluminum profile and keys with silver bezels.
Leaving aside the design, we must talk about the keys. Using keys from the AZIO RC Prestige range Gateron Brown Switches by default, even if they do not suit the user’s taste, other switches can be used from the wide variety of options available.
Like any other new generation keyboard, whatever its design, the RC Prestige range includes backlighting of the keys. Regarding connectivity options, this range allows it to be used connected to a computer using the USB-C cable to USB-C included in the box or use the connection Bluetooth which allows us to connect the keyboard with up to 3 devices.
Pricing and availability
This new range of keyboards is available via a campaign Kickstarter (available here) and the Ebony color version and the one available in Ivory are available for 149 dollars as an introductory offer on limited units. Once these units are completed, the price is $169. The suggested retail price is $209, so if we like the idea that this manufacturer presents to us, we shouldn’t think too much about it.
