There are many different programs that allow you to improve accuracy and other aspects of the mouse. We are not talking about official software from the mouse manufacturer, but about other programs of dubious origin. In addition, these programs can be detected by the various anti-cheat systems of the games and we can find ourselves banned forever.
Improve mouse precision in Windows
The truth is that Windows 10 (and also Windows 11) brings a lot of active functions which supposed to improve performance. Normally what these presets do is just the opposite, degrading the user experience. One such example is the establishment Improve pointer accuracy
Supposedly, this feature improves mouse accuracy, but it doesn’t always happen. By disabling this function, the distance traveled by the cursor is the same as that traveled by the physical mouse.
By making Pointer Precision what it does is the cursor is scroll further when he mouse movement is fast. On the other hand, when the shift it’s moreto bring the the distance traveled by the mouse is less. We speak in this case on the assumption that the mouse travels the same physical distance in both cases.
This function is interesting when we dos selection of elements what we have on screen. The problem is that precision is reduced, because it’s hard to get precision when interpreting how far the mouse moves. It is noticeably reduced when moving extremely fast.
In fact, this function is more focused on basic micelike the typical desktop or even simple wireless mouse, it is ideal for the laptop touchpad. But when it comes to mice designed for gaming, this feature is counterproductive. Even this function does not make sense, because we can do DPI adjustment directly from the mouse or mouse management software.
