Inside Out 2 is the sequel to the 2015 animated feature film that was a smash hit for Disney. Nearly ten years after the film’s release, Riley and his emotions return to face the world.

The sequel to Inside Out is now available exclusively in cinemas.
In the United States, the film premiered on June 14, 2024. You can purchase tickets on the AMC and Fandango websites. UK viewers can purchase tickets from Cineworld, Odeon and Vue.

When could Inside Out 2 be released on VOD?
This is the latest Pixar film, which means it is distributed by Walt Disney Studios. Usually, it takes around 45 days for a Disney film to be available on VOD platforms. However, it all depends on how the film performs at the global box office.
Performance so far has been very good and Disney wants to capitalize on this popularity. Pixar CCO Pete Docter says Inside Out 2 will enjoy a 100-day theatrical release window, just like Disney’s other hit animation, Elemental.
Thus, the first Inside Out 2 likely to appear on VOD is mid-September 2024.
When could Inside Out 2 be released on streaming services?
The second part of Inside Out will surely arrive on Disney+, but there is no official word on when that might happen.
The aforementioned Elemental was released for streaming a month after its VOD release. Following this lead, we estimate that Inside Out 2 will debut on Disney+ in late fall 2024.

So far, it’s unclear when Disney will release physical copies of the film, but it will likely happen around a month or two after the streaming release.
