For one slide, only what you need to set alarms on one side or the other. This is a situation that now bothers us from the hand of ASUS, and thanks to VideoCardz we have filtered the first points of comparison between the two best companies of each company. Are the comparisons correct?
Upgrading the cores complies with the i9-10900K, right?
It is also a benchmark as it is known and used as the Cinenbench R15 where the three major systems are facing and where the good qualities and deficiencies are coming out. The attackers are the Ryzen 9 3950X, i9-10900K and i9-9900K that have already negotiated two compatible modes.
This data speaks for itself, but we will sell it to comment on the difference, which leaves us cold on one side and good taste on the other. First, the single main points are:
- Ryzen 9 3950X -> 213 points
- i9-9900K -> 219 points
- i9-10900K -> 222 points
Logically, here IPC influences first and then second frequency (Cinebench relies heavily on memory processing). Although the Zen 2 as built has a higher IPC than Cofi Lake and Comet Lake, the high frequency Intel processors make the linear line more appealing to watch.
This new i9-10900K is able to allow you a 4.22% to Ryzen 9 and only one 1.36% to its predecessor, pointing out that the Boost frequency will not be very different and that the 5.3 GHz is more than just achieved by premium customization.
The Ryzen 9 3950X marks much higher compared to the i9
In many cases the difference is beyond the scope of the AMD option because of its 16 features and 32 threads. 109 HT for the i9-10900K and 8999 for the 9 cores do not differ in general sense as indicated by the scores:
- Ryzen 9 3950X -> 3,932 points
- i9-9900K -> 2,025 points
- i9-10900K -> 2,645 points
Percentage difference, Ryzen 9 is a 48.65% faster than i9-10900K, a figure that does not show i 60% more cores and rope than its competitors and in this case they speak well of Comet Lake-S as a general construction.
As for the difference between the two i9s, the new 10900K manages to allow a 30.61% difference, when in nuclei only 25% separate. So, that's it 5.61% It's a difference in frequency (and in particular the development in architecture), but when we consider that according to the definitions there is only 100 MHz (+ 2.12% between both), we will find a 3.49% with the usual increase of CPI between Cofi Lake and Comet Lake.
It may seem different at first, but keep in mind that Comet Lake continues to move away from the Skylake domain which is why it will be the last building to do this at Intel, because Lake Rock Lake makes it jump to Willow Cove.
