Intel is continuing its Athena Project, a certification the company intends to use on new laptops so that products are sold individually, to suit their needs and to meet users' needs.

As such Project Athena currently has 25 devices already certified, as Intel reported during CES 2020, it also has outstanding plans so that by the end of the year the figure will have doubled.

Intel intends that the quality mark provided by Project Athena served to ensure that the laptop you are buying actually meets the standards set by the company to handle specific tasks.

For starters, laptops carry a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor with 8 GB of dual-channel DRAM, and at least 256 GB of storage. As far as connections are concerned, they have Wifi 6 and Thunderbolt 3 to damage USB ports.

Battery is one of the strengths of these Athena laptops, with over 16 hours of video playback in local mode, over 9 hours in web browsing mode, and fast 4-hour rechargeable batteries for use with just 30 minutes of charging.

Intel talks about user experience and not so much about statistics and performance values that can cause confusion for the general public. It looks like past mistakes are now trying to decipher this certificate, in the same way as it did with Ultrabook encryption mode.

Chromebook has a place in Project Athena

One of the new things we've seen during CES 2020, is that Intel's development in its system also addresses the introduction of the first Chromebook laptops that can be verified again within Athena's system.

Fruit partnerships with Google and manufacturers such as Asus and Samsung, the first Chromebook-certified devices for the Athena project are the Asus Chromebook Flip C436, and the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook.

Adjustable and scalable screens in Project Athena

As a result of all that is yet to come, Intel has added some specifications that are looking at a new category of dual screen laptops or wrap screen. The future is very near and their confirmation is the Loldvo ThinkPad X1 Fold which will arrive in the middle of the year.

FoldPad X1 Fold has a 13.3-inch screen and a virtual keyboard and external keyboard. The screen can be used in mode or portrait format, and when folded, the screen stays its size.

Another high quality laptop certified is the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus with the traditional 13.3-inch IPS display and the other side of the 10.8-inch digonal laptop laptop and electronic ink technology to simplify the digital annotation content.

Dell also showcased his Project Athena team cards for a 13.4-inch double display. This is the Dell Concept Duet and unlike the wrap mode, these are separated by a handle.

Another idea is the Dell Concept Ori (a name derived from origami) with a 13-inch POLED panel that in this case is flexible and can bend, a computer based on using Windows. It's a beta concept and we still don't know if you'll see the light.

Major brands such as HP and Acer have shown teams already certified by Intel in the phase of its Athena project. It is a form of Elite Dragonfly is that HP is already a market in our country, and with which we show you our first impressionand Acer Swift 3, and for sale.

By the end of 2020, Intel is confident that it will be able to confirm over 50 new builds within Project Athena, even if they are models with Microsoft Windows operating systems, such as Google ChromeOS.

Intel sets the goal of every Project Athena notebook to offer improved battery life, higher responsiveness, performance and faster access to the operating system, as well as high speed connectivity.
