Epic Games Unreal Engine (EU) 4.25 goes into production today, that is real-time ray tracking support in UE 4.25 beta phase. To celebrate, NVIDIA launched its second round DXR Spotlight Contest.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage independent developers to test Microsoft DirectX Ray Tracing (DXR). The DXR Spotlight Contest asks content creators and independent game developers to use DXR and Unreal Engine 4.24 (or higher) to create technical samples that show ray tracking in real time.
The competition, sponsored by ASUS, Epic Games, Microsoft, MSI and Razer, promotes continuous content development ray tracing in real time. Open to content creators and independent game developers over 18 years.
NVIDIA will select the winners based on realism, design, and technical performance.

DXR funding is not just for big studios. We have seen great success from independent game developers using it ray tracing, such as Stay in the Light, Light Memory and Off to the Moon. It's a great way for them to take their games to another level.
