The well-known manufacturer Corsair just surprised by launching its new SSD on the market without notice MP600 miniand it turns out it becomes one of the fastest SSDs you can buy and install in a handheld console steam bridge from Valve, since it is offered in M.2 2230 format. In addition to this MP600 Mini, the manufacturer is also launching the MP600 CORE XTwhich we will also talk about in this article.
Corsair is a manufacturer with vast experience in the field of PC storage, and the proof is that they have launched SSDs in the market from this already obsolete SATA 3 interface. What is a fact is that they have always been positioned as high-performance, high-performance SSDs, reaching the levels that the interfaces allow at all times, and of course this MP600 Mini is no exception.
Corsair MP600 Mini, an ideal 1 TB SSD for Steam Deck
The Corsair MP600 Mini is, as the name suggests, a smaller version of the famous MP600, because instead of having the usual M.2 2280 form factor that we use on PCs, it is M.2 2230 (estop means it’s only 22 x 30mm) making it compatible and also ideal for use on Valve’s handheld console, the Steam Deck. Besides that, it would also be compatible with other devices, such as Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and 9and of course on PC.
Even so, with its PCI-Express 4.0 interface, it is capable of delivering speeds of up to 4,800
The downside of its small size is that it is also limited in the number of memory chips it can accommodate, and thus the Corsair MP600 Mini is only available in 1TB capacity. The official price of this unit 1 TB capacity is 124,99$although it is in the manufacturer’s store and soon we can find it a little cheaper in the brand’s usual store network.
Corsair MP600 CORE XT, improved value for money
On the other hand, Corsair has also announced the launch of its new MP600 CORE XT units, in this case with the usual M.2 2280 format that we are used to in the PC industry. These SSDs use 3D QLC NAND Flash memory chips, which allows them to provide high density with more than decent performance, but at fairly contained prices.
In this case, the MP600 CORE XT are available in 1, 2, and 4TB capacities, and all feature a PCI-Express 4.0 x4 interface that offers theoretical speeds of up to 5,000MB/s read and 4 400MB/s write, with durability up to 900TBW on 4TB model.
In this case, the 1TB capacity model sells for just 69,99$while the 2TB model will cost $134.99. The 4TB capacity model is a little more expensive, as Corsair has tagged it with a price of 324,99$. All are now available on the manufacturer’s website, and will soon be available in the manufacturer’s usual network of stores.
