The Kardashians are back for a fifth season on Hulu and Disney+, and the infamous family is making their feelings known about a separate documentary that aired last year involving Caitlyn Jenner, father and stepfather to many stars.
In the first episode of the new season, Kris Jenner, Khloé Kardashian and Scott Disick (Kourtney’s former partner and family friend) discuss the project and don’t have the kindest words to say about it.
“There’s this new documentary about our family,” Khloé says. “Apparently anyone called people who have been or are in our lives to do the documentary and no one really agreed to do it…except for Caitlyn.
“…I find it strange that she would agree to make a documentary which, I imagine, is not trying to paint us in the best light.”
The documentary she is referring to is called House of Kardashian and is available on Peacock in the US and Sky/Now in the UK.
He discusses the family’s empire of influence, wealth and rise, and covers the many scandals associated with it, such as the OJ Simpson trial, Kim’s leaked sex tape and Caitlin’s transition , featuring the talking heads of the group’s friends and family.
During a clip of the show the trio listens to, someone remarks that Kris wanted to be more than a housewife – to which she rolls her eyes and says, “Okay, then kill- Me “.
In the official trailer below, Caitlyn comments: “Kimberly calculated from the beginning: ‘How can I become famous?’ » » Meanwhile, family friend Joe Francis says: “The sex tape was a means to an end. It was to create controversy.
But Kim harbors no resentment towards Caitlyn, as she reveals in a talking head: “I got so many texts saying, ‘Doesn’t this hurt your feelings?'”
“Honestly, that’s not the case. I had such a good stepfather who raised me, so none of these things that are said, no matter how twisted or whatever, will make me think differently about the life I’ve had.
That’s just a fraction of the drama of the Kardashians’ first episode. We learn more about Kourtney’s pregnancy journey, Kendall’s unexpected walk to Paris Fashion Week, and the start of a rift between two of the sisters that (if the trailers are to be believed) will be the essential to the story this season.
The first episode of The Kardashians is now available to stream on Hulu in the US and on Disney+ in the UK and internationally. New episodes will be released every Thursday, with ten episodes reported for this episode.
