KROM KRUSHER characteristics and technical specifications

KROM KRUSHER is an inexpensive keyboard and mouse pack designed for all users. The full pack costs 40 dollars, and we can buy it at any hardware store.

Keyboard

KROM KRUSHER - Review 27

The first of the components in this pack is the keyboard. This is the type hybrid, also called semi-mechanical, that is, a membrane keyboard with typical tactile and mechanical keys. This type of keyboard allows us to have a touch similar to that of a real mechanical keyboard, but much cheaper. The manufacturer has not provided any information on the switches used, or their useful life. If the main material is black plastic, a plastic which, while not of low quality, is also not the best that we have seen. Let’s say it is a material suitable for the price range in which it operates.

This keyboard has a full ISO distributionand in Spanish. Although the keyboard is not compatible with macros (since it does not have configuration software), it has dedicated multimedia keys, as well as secondary functions that we can access from the keyboard itself. It also has a system anti ghosting up to 25 keys and a full backlighting system.

As for its size, we are talking about a keyboard of 44.5 cm x 20 cm x 3.4 cm. And as for its weight, we are talking about 780 grams, not counting the 1.5 meter cable that it includes.

Mouse

KROM KRUSHER - Review 26

On the other hand, we have the mouse. It is a simple mouse, mostly plastic and rubber, with a symmetrical design, but designed for right-handed people, as it has two buttons on the left side for use with the thumb. This mouse has a 6400 DPI optical sensor, which we can customize on the fly. It also has a re-lighting system which gives it the gaming look that many are going for.

In total, this mouse has 7 customizable buttons, which we can adapt to our needs thanks to the KROM software. This software also allows us to customize, among other things, the lighting and the sensor.

The mouse has dimensions of 12.8 cm, 6.6 cm and 4.2 cm, and a weight, excluding cable, of 140 grams. The cable of this mouse measures 1.5 meters and, in addition, is braided.

External analysis

This keyboard and mouse pack comes in a cardboard box, similar to any other keyboard, in which the typical KROM black and orange colors predominate. At the top of it we can see a photo of the keyboard and mouse. Below, the main characteristics of the two devices.

When we open the box, the first thing we find inside will be two compartments. On the left we will have the keyboard, perfectly wrapped in a protector, and on the right the mouse, also wrapped. We will also have a simple manual that will explain the features and functions of both devices, in addition to the keyboard shortcuts that come by default to configure it.

The mouse, although designed for right-handed people (due to the buttons on the side), has a fairly symmetrical design. It’s an all black color, and that will only highlight the lighting we will find on the palm, wheel, and background.

KROM KRUSHER - Review 7

On the left side we will find two buttons that we can use with the mouse thumb, while on the right side we will have nothing.

At the front we will have the two click buttons, in addition to the wheel and two buttons, below, to control the sensitivity of the mouse.

At the bottom we will find several technical details of the mouse, the sensor and the sliding bases to improve its mobility.

KROM KRUSHER - Review 12

The cable, which comes out of the front of the mouse, is braided, which gives us greater long-term durability, which is very interesting if, for example, we are those who often disconnect the mouse from the PC to take it with us.

KROM KRUSHER - Review 13

The touch of the mouse is very pleasant, and what we liked the most was, surprisingly, the wheel.

The keyboard also has a very neat design. This is a high quality, black plastic keyboard with a full layout. What stands out the most about its design are the multimedia keys that can be found at the top of it that will allow us to play / pause, move forward or rewind. We can also control the volume of the audio, although for this we will have to resort to the keys F2, F3 and F4.

KROM KRUSHER - Review 14

The buttons of this keyboard are semi-metallic, that is to say a mixture of membrane and mechanics. This allows the manufacturer to save money and the user to have a very similar experience to a mechanical keyboard, as well as many benefits, without having to leave a large sum of money on it.

The cable for this keyboard comes out of the top of the keyboard and it is an unwrapped cable. We won’t have any problems with it, but it is true that the fact that it is braided is a failure, because it would be a little more quality, like the mouse.

KROM KRUSHER - Review 15

At the bottom of the keyboard we will find a sticker with the technical details of it, several rubber grafts to prevent it from moving while we are working with it, and the two typical pins that will allow us to adjust the angle of the keyboard to be able to write more comfortably with him.

Keyboard

To use this keyboard, we do not have to install anything on our computer. This allows us to be able to use the keyboard in any operating system (Windows, Linux, macOS) that has all of its functions and features activated. Its configuration is done directly from the keyboard itself using keyboard shortcuts.

Define the lighting:

  • Fn + AvPag – Turn lights on or off.
  • Fn + Left / Right – Change the speed of the effect.
  • Fn + Insert – Turns the breath mode on or off for the effects.
  • Fn + Del – Change direction of lighting.
  • Fn + Up / Down – Increase or decrease the brightness.
  • Fn + Home – Fixed color mode.
  • Fn + End – Breath mode for fixed colors.
  • Fn + RePag – Configure lighting by zones.

Multimedia keys:

  • F1 – Open player.
  • F2 – Lower the volume.
  • F3 – Increase the volume.
  • F4 – Mute the sound.
  • F5 – Stops playback.
  • F9 – Open the mail client.
  • F10 – Open the browser.
  • F11 – Lock the keypad.
  • F12 – Calculator.

Other functions:

  • Fn + W – Swap WSAD keys for arrows.
  • Fn + Win – Bloquear tecla Win.

Although it is not a mechanical keyboard, it is very comfortable to use. One can spend a lot of time writing with it without feeling any discomfort and without detection problems. And, of course, the gaming experience is also pretty good, achieving accuracy almost equal to that of a mechanical keyboard.

As for the lighting, we are faced with a complete RGB system of the keyboard, but as we do not have a software that allows us to have a fine adjustment of it, the possibilities that we find are somewhat limited. Sufficient, but limited.

Mouse

This mouse can be used without problem in any operating system, as it has a basic configuration in internal memory. The buttons are mapped as standard to conform to a standard configuration, and the DPI values that we can change by default using the corresponding key are:

  • 800
  • 1600
  • 2400
  • 3200
  • 4800
  • 6400

However, if we want to get the most out of this mouse, it is necessary to have Windows, and to install the KROM software to configure this mouse. From this program, we will be able to customize the mouse DPI, its lighting and other aspects of it to suit our needs.

While it’s not a precisely ergonomic mouse, and has a very symmetrical design, it’s a fairly comfortable mouse, whether we have a palm grip or a claw grip. In addition, the results we got from their corresponding tests are more than acceptable, given the price range in which we operate.

Conclusion and opinion of KROM KRUSHER

Obviously, we are not facing the best keyboard or the best mouse on the market. However, we are faced with one of the best products that we are going to be able to acquire in its price range. The KROM KRUSHER brings us a hybrid keyboard that will let us both work and play, and a simple mouse that gets the job done, even if we already have somewhat advanced needs.

KROM KRUSHER - Review 25

What stands out the most, for the worse, about these devices are the materials. There are keyboards and mice that use better plastic and have better finishes. However, it is also true that they are much more expensive. KROM decided to sacrifice this aspect a bit to bring us a pack of two powerful products, suitable for all types of users, especially those who don’t want to spend a lot of money on a keyboard and mouse. We also missed not having any software to configure the keyboard, being a bit tricky to do it using keyboard shortcuts if we’re not used to it.

For all this, we have decided to give this keyboard and mouse pack KROM KRUSHER our reward of oro, highlighting above all their excellent relationship price quality.
