Expert note
Pros
- Affordable
- Large display
- Style included
Disadvantages
- Not the most powerful
- The screen could be brighter
Our verdict
The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is tall and well assembled, but it lacks too much in terms of performance to be easy to recommend to everyone. Even thus, its stylus, its large display and the speakers include make it ideal for taking notes or for media consumption – do not expect it to replace your laptop.

Best prices today: Lenovo Idea Tab Pro
The biggest tablets feel less common these days. Not long ago, it seemed that the tablets would continue to grow and grow, and although there are aberrant values, many of the best tablets today stand in the same format of 10 to 11 inches.
The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Bucks which tends, aimed at offering an important tablet which is not as expensive as the flagship products of Apple. For the most part, he succeeds, exciting a stylus in the creative box, offering quadruple speakers for music and videos, and a large 13-inch screen.
Unfortunately, there are warnings everywhere. The Mediatek Dimensity 8300 is more powerful than its previous version, but it remains far from ideal for doing real work or multitasking more than a few applications at the same time. The display, as large as it is, remains an IPS panel, so it is not as bright as you may be hoping for.
And yet, with a price less than £ 400 / $ 400 even with the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, and access to Google AI features like Gemini, there is certainly a world where this is more attractive than the basic iPad for many users – it is simply not really for “pros”, despite the nickname.
Design and construction
- Large, but relatively light
- Style included
- No headphone jack
It is not easy for tablets to stand out these days, and it would just be said that the Lenovo Idea tab is quite indefinable, apart from the stylus included on one side. However, there is nothing wrong with that. He has a thin telescope all around the screen, housing the front camera, and the rest of the front is dominated by the big screen.
The lower edge of a USB-C port for the load, and there are two speakers at the top and two at the bottom for the stereo audio output (more on this subject later).

The top also contains the Sleep / Wake button, while the right side is for the rocker in volume. The stylus is fixed for matching and load on the left.
There is no waterproofing here, so you will not want to use it near Liquid, but apart from this wrinkle, it is a well -made tablet that feels robust while remaining light. I traveled with my backpack for a few days and barely noticed it.

It is never clear if the tablets of this price range should have a helmet socket, but it is absent here. It is unlikely that it is a huge affair, but it is worth remembering if you have cable cans that you want to use with it.
Screen and speakers
- IPS panel
- Resolution 2944 × 1840
- Speakers
As we said, the 13 -inch screen here is mammoth. The relatively thin telescope around the outside does not harm immersion either, and be able to get lost in a movie on a long flight is probably easy.
Do not expect deep blacks or a lot of contrast, however. The IPS panel does not become particularly shiny, and it decreases almost everything you look at it. Unfortunately, it is not easier to read in the direct sunlight either than the alternatives OLED, which makes it better to use inside than outside.
Lloyd Coombs
It is a real damage because with a resolution of 2944 × 1840, the images are clear and packed with details, and the text also looks great. This should make it an ideal way to read books or watch movies, provided you do it under a roof.
You also get a high cooling rate of 144 Hz, which means that scrolling and navigation are impressive and responsive … provided you do not perform demanding tasks beyond the capabilities of the chipset.

While we are talking about movies, the quad speakers are particularly effective, you watch something full of action or dialogue, and playing music is also great. They become noisy too!
Specifications and performance
- Dimensity Mediatek 8300 Chipset
- 8 GB of Aries
- 128 GB / 256 GB storage
Here is where we find some of the corners that have been cut, although there is a slight advantage over AI tasks (to which we will come shortly).
In simple terms, the Mediatek Dimensity 8300 chipset is good. It is twice as fast as the Amazon Fire HD 8 Kids Pro that I have tested recently, but that will not bother the flagship products, falling comfortably behind the Lenovo Yoga tab and we also test.
Lloyd Coombs
This makes it difficult to call a “pro” level tablet when there are other “pro” models that can exceed a laptop. And yet, we are talking about £ 400 /400 $ here, which makes certain things much easier to forgive.
8 GB of RAM helps to move several applications around, and it is ideal on such a large screen, while there are 128 GB and 256 GB configurations, but each is expandable with a micro-SD card. Internal storage is also fast, which also means transfers.
- Geekbench 5 (Simple -Noyau) – 1059
- Geekbench 5 (Multi -Fond) – 4004
- GFX bench (T -Rex) – 144fps
- GFX bench (Manhattan) – 85 images per second
- GFX bench (Manhattan 3.1) – 53FPS
- GFX bench (chase by car) – 32fps
- GFX bench (Aztec Vulkan High) – 26fps
- GFX bench (Aztec Open High) – 27fps
In simple terms, the Mediatek Dimensity 8300 chipset is, well,
As always, we like to test with a few demanding games, namely League of Legends: Wild Rift and Genshin Impact. Wild Rift is less complex thanks to his style from top to bottom, and he plays well on the tab pro idea, with the only real problem being this dark display.
Genshin Impact sees stuttering in more busy scenes, or with a lot of effects on the screen, but for the most part, it works relatively well on the intermediate settings.
So what about AI? Lenovo proudly proclaims Gemini is supported, and it is not bad to do so. Indeed, there is a distinct neuronal processing unit far from the rest of the CPU and that it does an excellent job to manage requests via Gemini (or any AI that you prefer).
With regard to “future and test”, AI requests will certainly become in time, but if it is a tablet to navigate, films and see what traction with artificial intelligence is, you can do much worse.
Lenovo Idea Tab Pro Benchmarks
Cameras
- 8 Mp front camera
- 13MP rear camera
- 4K / 30FPS video
It is difficult to recommend using the front or rear cameras on the tab pro idea. They are not bad in itself, but there is a good chance that the Vivaneau on your phone will do a much better work.
The overexposure is a problem on the front sensor, while the rear is based on better lighting conditions that you may be able to make regularly. The images are overexposed, lightening almost everything in a plan at the cost of details. It is good for wide features, but everything that requires finesse will be better suited to your phone.
Battery and load
- Large battery with a lot of power
- Slow
- Load 45W
The joy of having a large tablet is that it invariably leads to a larger battery. This is the case here, with the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro packing 10200mAh, which means that it can work for hours.
The chipset is less set for performance and more for longevity, and in our tests, I obtained approximately 11 hours on a single load by traveling the web, testing games and reading certain digital magazines. You will get more with the wi-fi deactivated, of course, but it is really very respectable.
In fact, this goes beyond the PCMARK Work 3.0 battery test, which gave us 10 hours and 4 minutes. A decent score, but nothing to write at home.
The only drawback is that the battery takes a while to load. The load of 45W via USB-C is taken care of, but it can still take much more than two hours to invoice completely.

Software and features
- Android 14 to Android 17
- Superposition Lenovo Zui
- PC mode when connected to a keyboard and a mouse
One of the most delicate elements of buying an Android tablet is whether it will be supported for a while. After all, if it runs Android 14 but Android 15 is not a guarantee, it is wise to look elsewhere.
Fortunately, Lenovo has signed up to four years of updates, and it is quite solid for a tablet that is not a flagship product. You are locked up to Android 17, but everything that is beyond that remains a mystery.
The superposition above Android 14 here is Lenovo Zui, which works well given the pen included. It allows a low latency scratching, a note taking or almost anything else, and it converts into an experience more similar to a laptop when you connect a keyboard – Lenovo or other.

Price and availability
The Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is available from a number of British retailers at different prices, so it is worth doing shopping. At the time of writing the editorial staff, the 8 GB / 128 GB model is available for the full start price of £ 379.99 in Lenovo, but in Currys for £ 315.83 and from the box for £ 349.99.
This does not put it too much beyond the price of the base of the iPad, but with a much larger screen, a huge battery life and this NIFTY, more Gemini stylus, which is currently leagues in front of Apple Intelligence.
The best American agreement we reached at the time of the editorial staff is provisor, where it is $ 312.68 for the 8 GB / 128 GB model. It is also available in the American store Lenovo for $ 329.99.
If this is not the right model for you, consult our best recommendations from the best budget tablets and the best tablets overall.
Should you buy the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro?
Taken less as a “pro” tablet and more as a very good entry model for a more demanding customer, the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro is a smooth device that looks great and works well.
We would have liked more growls under the hood and an OLED panel, but at this price, it is difficult to feel that you do not have one for your money.
