LG officially pulled back the curtain on its new TVs at CES 2024, but one of the biggest new features isn’t the hardware itself.
The Korean tech company has confirmed that the new models in the lineup will benefit from an impressive five years of webOS upgrades, starting with webOS 28. That means that even if you don’t have LG’s latest model for a few years, You will always benefit from the latest feature upgrades for free.
Additionally, LG’s 2022 TVs will also benefit from this promise thanks to the new webOS Re:New program, which will launch in early 2024. So, if you own a B2, C2 or a G2, an LG OLED Flex, an LG OLED Object Posé Collection or the LG QNED Mini LED 8K 2022 (QNED99/95 series), you will also benefit from these software upgrades over the next five years.
We don’t yet know if the Re:New program also applies to 2023 models such as the C3 and G3 – we’ve reached out to LG for clarification. The company has confirmed that more TVs will be eligible in the future.

Some of the key new additions to LG’s home entertainment interface include Quick Card UI, which will sort a range of content into categories like music, games and sports in simple boxes – you can see an example of this below above.
Another addition is voice identity recognition, which can be used in place of passwords. This will launch in the United States and South Korea in the first half of 2024, with the rest of the world to be confirmed.
TVs will soon be able to support up to 10 different profiles, giving larger households more personalized experiences and keeping a score of recently watched content and apps that were used for better recommendations.
Each profile includes its own Picture Wizard, so you can change graphics and picture settings to suit your tastes. LG offers a wide range, from vivid and bold mode to high refresh rates for gamers.
Multi-monitor will also support four displays instead of two, allowing users to perform even more tasks simultaneously: they can interact with each window in split-screen mode rather than having to maximize one section. For better smart home compatibility, LG’s new models will include Chromecast support.
