After years of rumors and leaks, the Meta Quest Pro goggles are now official. Unveiled at Meta Connect 2022, these premium headsets have an eye on mixed reality, arriving in a translucent design designed for a comfortable MR experience.
Add to that a complete redesign with a much thinner head-up display, eye and face tracking, improved performance and updated drivers, and you have the best performing standalone VR headset on the market.
The question is, with such a high price, will it be as popular as Meta Quest 2?

When will Meta Quest Pro go on sale?
After the company announced the new Meta Quest Pro at the Meta Connect event on October 11, the reservation period began to purchase the glasses in advance. Its official sale will not take place before October 25i.e. when shipments will be made.
For now, the Meta Quest Pro will only go on sale in the United States, some European countries and other regions, including Europe but not Latin America.

We knew the Meta Quest Pro would be more expensive than the Meta Quest 2 ($449.99), but surely few expected the difference to be so big.

As rumored before its launch, the Meta Quest Pro is quite different from the formula used in Quest products so far, with additional sensors, new features and a much lighter and more compact design.
Most apparent is its redesign, especially now that the Meta Quest Pro offers a much smaller and thinner head-mounted display (HMD) than the Quest 2.

The only real downside compared to the Quest 2 is battery life. The Quest 2 can last around 2-3 hours officially, but that’s been reduced to 1.5-2 hours on the Quest Pro, likely due to its lighter form factor.
Meta says the glasses aren’t designed to be worn all day, but the 2-meter USB-C cable that comes in the box will allow you to keep wearing them for longer, ideal if you want to use the Quest Pro for work .
Charging takes place via a sleek charging cradle that lets you easily charge your glasses and controllers without having to worry about USB-C cables and replaceable batteries.
