Although it is true that we are going to see more and more versions of this type of console that simulates a desktop computer, in general we need to know the specifications that they will need to be able to judge if it is worth making this type of purchase, since it is not extremely cheap since it is a type of portable hardware that offers the characteristics in terms of power that allow you to enjoy the latest generation games.
What the MSI Claw gaming console offers
In terms of power we can say that it is truly the most powerful portable console currently available, because what we cannot deny is that after knowing all its technical specifications it is more powerful than those we have seen so far, but also We know that whenever there is an improvement in the material of a piece of equipment, it also comes with a significant monetary cost, and in this case it is well higher than that of its main competitors.
In some components it does not present a great improvement compared to the rest of the portable video game consoles on the market, since it includes a 1920x1080p with an update rate of 120Hz and it includes a touch function, like the rest. On the other hand, the most basic version does not include any improvements that we can highlight from the rest of the components apart from the processor, since all this is what we can expect from a new generation console.
It should be noted that the processor they present is an alternative to that used by the rest of the consoles, since generally in this type of equipment those developed by AMD are usually used, but instead MSI opted for the Intel Core Ultra 7 155Hwhat gives us 6 hearts of performance, 8 hearts of efficiency and 2 Electronic cores of low batteryso in total it has 12 heartswhat it offers 4 hearts more than the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme which includes ROG Ally.

This really cannot be judged lightly either since it has not yet been possible to see what real performance the gaming console can offer us. MSIbecause until its official launch we will not know if the set of components included in the processor improvement will work well, mainly because if the only improvement that this processor can offer compared to AMD’s is the number of efficiency cores, this will not be the case. I noticed this too much because in many cases these cores bother more than they help in terms of video games.
The base price that the console will have is 820$this results 120$ more expensive than the version that Asus offers us of its device, if this improvement is only due to the processor, this implies that we will pay 120 $ more to have 2 fewer P-Cores and 8 more E-Cores. If, on the other hand, we compare the most expensive version of the two consoles, the one offered by Asus costs 800$which is lower than what MSI offers us as a base, while the best version of the MSI Claw is estimated at around 850-900$and from what we know we can think that the only thing this improved version includes is a larger RAM capacity.
