It must be said that this is not the first time we have seen something of this style. Few months ago Nvidia present A.S., an AI-based solution that brought NPCs to life. These characters with repetitive movements and conversations would become more dynamic with this technology.
Artificial intelligence can bring a lot to the video game industry. Games could be developed in much less time, without as many errors and, above all, generating much richer stories.
Intel relies heavily on AI
This new software developed by the company is really simple, we do not need great knowledge to use it. The goal is to bring artificial intelligence closer to all users and adapt it to all needs.
AI Playground is software that works locally, without the need for an Internet connection. This tool allows the creation and editing of images, as well as the establishment of conversations. Since everything is done locally (on our PC), user privacy is guaranteed.
But this new technology has small print. It can be used by those who have an Intel Core Ultra processor with an Arc iGPU. Additionally, those who have an Intel Arc with at least 8 GB of VRAM can also use it. It’s not specified how much RAM the system should have, but normal would be a minimum of 16 GB.
It was specially developed to use the Intel Xe cores and AI MXM engines of Arc GPUs. The tool is easy to use, no knowledge of artificial intelligence is required to use it. In fact, it’s practically the same as any other software for Windows, with a simple graphical interface where no commands or scripts are required.
Intel emphasizes that it works locally, keeping data, indications and results completely private and under our control.
The application offers several usage scenarios. It has an image creation tab, an editing tab and a chat or reply system. All of this works without internet access, only with the power of the GPU.
We have the possibility of creating images simply or we can, via a panel, make adjustments. Sliding bars are included for quick and easy adjustments. In addition, it includes specific buttons that allow you to modify the resolution and quality of the image obtained.
In the edit option we can update, correct, fill, repair or increase the resolution of an image. We can be very creative and carry out any action in a simple way.
Finally, within the answers section we will have access to very interesting text features. It allows us to summarize documents, obtain key points or modify them locally, guaranteeing confidentiality.
One of the interesting details is that AI Playground is a completely open model. Anyone can choose to clone it, create it, and experiment as much as they want.
Intel AI Playground will be available this summer and will of course be accessible to anyone with an Arc GPU.
