Google Photos has added a new feature that allows users to see less of certain people in their Memories.
By default, the Memories tab shows old photos and videos that Google Photos automatically selects and groups together. You can then save them as albums and even use generative AI to title them.
However, this may mean that some people appear in your memories when you’d rather not see them. As Android Police reports, you now have the option to choose which people to “show less.”
Once saved, this then prevents the person from appearing alone in a photo in Memories. However, the person can still appear in group photos with other people.
If the user feels that the “Show Less” feature is not enough, Google Photos still has the tools to “Hide” or “Block” certain people completely if preferred.
The idea behind the “Show Less” feature is to give users a little more flexibility. It can be found in the settings menu of the Google Photos app.
