It has a capacity of 9.5 liters/10 QT and its cooking space is more flexible than competing models because (depending on what you’re cooking) you can cook two layers of food in each basket – the top layer on racks removable.
Ninja suggests putting vegetables on the bottom, on the crisper sheets, and fish or chicken on the grates, but we’ve had good results when testing with all types of foods.

It also has an intuitive, easy-to-use control panel, which allows you to cook in one or both drawers, match their cooking temperatures and times (if desired) or sync separate cooking programs to finish at the same time.

There are six modes to choose from: air fry, roast, maximum crisp, reheat, bake and dehydrate. It’s less than some air fryers (there’s no grill or fermentation setting), but you’ll still be able to cook almost any dry food in it.
In testing, we found that cooking wasn’t as even as some other Ninja models. Because of its design, the heating coils and fans are at the back of the drawers, rather than on top. We found that when making fries or roasting potatoes, it was necessary to give the food a good shake halfway through cooking. But there’s no shake alert on the Double Stack, so you’ll have to remember it or set a timer on your phone.
