OnePlus Z: Price, review, and Launch Rumors

Genres, launch, OnePlus, price, Rumors

There is growing evidence that OnePlus is preparing to unveil a new mid-range phone called OnePlus Z, something the company has not been doing well since the OnePlus X arrived in 2015. Here’s everything we know so far.

OnePlus company already has mobile models in this mid-range, but only once without a large portfolio of solutions. OnePlus X is coming to market as an alternative to OnePlus 2 but at a more competitive price.

The highlight was the use of a dual-class chipsetship (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801), instead of a mid-range chip, and the provision of extra material in its design, in a special kind of ceramic body.

OnePlus X hasn’t shocked the market as much as the company had hoped, but its sale has left OnePlus fans wondering if the company will ever step into the middle and flagship segment where it regularly travels.

Rumors abound every time a Chinese phone maker prepares to launch another device, but with a new arrival OnePlus 8 (see to review) and OnePlus 8 Pro (see to review)There is a greater feeling than ever that a new mid-range will come.

First, there was talk of the arrival of the OnePlus 8 Lite system, which revealed that it might be mid-range. The name was also changed to OnePlus Z, which is a company subscription, based on the types and not the numbers, the OnePlus X.

When will the OnePlus Z release?

Truth be told, many expect its launch to coincide with the creation of the OnePlus 8 series during the first half of 2020, but in the end this has not happened.

Whether because of the effects of the global epidemic or for some other reason, such a device did not materialize at the launch of April’s OnePlus 8, raising the question of if the timing wasn’t right now, when will it be?

Rumors of all kinds are spreading across the network, although many are taking the approach that the new OnePlus Z will hit the market throughout July this year, three months after the launch of the series 8 and during the product’s quietest.

Another source such as Android Central reports that some contact would have announced that the launch date would be July 10, with the recommendation that it would be a special event hosted in India.

How much does OnePlus Z cost?

At the moment there is little to say about what the official phone numbers may be, but at least, we can make an estimate based on the calls already made and how it can be addressed within its scope.

The OnePlus X was about 20% cheaper than the standard OnePlus 2 when it was introduced, and best of all, it was priced below.

Using OnePlus 8 Like the same 2020 model, which starts at € 709 the base model, the OnePlus Z,  in line with our report from mid-year phones.

What features will OnePlus Z have?

Like the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, OnePlus Z is expected to support 5G connectivity, leading to speculation about hardware to use. Initial reports pointed to MediaTek’s Dimensional 1000 or 1000L, some of the first 5G SoC systems.

However, there are those who believe that the product will remain loyal to Qualcomm by integrating the Snapdragon 765 or 765G chip as OnePlus Z’s preferred processor.

If the Z opts in the MediaTek Dimensional line, it would be the first of these companies’ calls to not take advantage of Qualcomm’s art. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 765 doesn’t work as a MediaTek chips, powered by the previous Cortex A76 technology, rather than the 1000 and 1000L Cortex A77 cores.

What will the OnePlus Z look like on the body?

Late last year, the OnLeaks Twitter account published some CAD-based descriptions of what OnePlus Z looked like, which was then called OnePlus 8 Lite.

In them, you may have to understand how the front of the phone looks more compact with wider bezels compared to the current OnePlus 8 and 8 Plus, as well as the front camera with a single hole and central aperture.

It all points to the fact that this OnePlus Z model is going to be an OLED screen with a refresh rate of at least 90 Hz, as we’ve seen in the new 8-product series, where the basics have the same refresh rate.

The rear camera setup, meanwhile, has a two-dimensional design, which is set in what is a mirror aligned under the frame that connects these sensors. No 3.5mm headphone jack.

There is also a panel talk behind the glass with curved edges and Gorilla Glass 5 2.5D protection. The USB C port would be at the bottom and it would seem that the company would keep a volume keypad and a standard switch to control text notification.

As for the cameras, the fact that the three sensors will be part of the camera set is getting stronger, with a larger camera that can offer up to 48 MP, a 16 MP wide angle and a 12 MP lens for the phone.

How will OnePlus Z work?

Like the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, the Z is expected to support 5G standard communications, which has led to speculation about what Hardware will do internally.

Initial reports pointed to MediaTech’s Dimensional 1000 or 1000L chip; some of the first 5G SoCs from the chipmaker. However, on July 1 a score appeared on the Geekbench bench points for the OnePlus AC2003.

With 612 points in phase one, and from 1955 in many locations, it is believed that the AC2003 will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset internally, as well as 12 GB of RAM and running on Android 10.
