There is a very basic rule in economics, if a product is scarce and not a basic necessity, then its price ends up going up due to these two factors. So it shouldn’t surprise us that the prices of gaming laptops are increasing, moreover, a good part of these components are used in other markets which tend to have the preference in terms of supply.
It must be taken into account that this will not be the only brand affected, as they all use the same components, so we can generalize for the rest of the brands and conclude that we will have a general increase in prices.
A before and an after in the hardware
Many companies will use a specific solution when creating their new systems and it is none other than the integration of some of the functionalities that few parts had until now in one. It’s a double-edged sword for consumers, but an advantage for manufacturers. Doing the industrial design of a computer at these levels goes beyond the placement of the basic components, it is about designing the PCB, the analog circuits and even new chips that a priori did not exist. Something very few companies can do that will most likely reduce many laptop lines.
