We see ASUS, Gigabyte and other major motherboard manufacturers introducing their models with hidden power connectors. They moved these connections to the rear to improve the wiring and also hide it. Thinking about all these motherboards and those to come, Phanteks presented several PC cases compatible with these conceptions.

We see how motherboard manufacturers are finally making an effort to hide the wiring as much as possible. They moved the motherboard power connectors, CPU connectors, and other connectors to the back. Simplifies cable management and allows you to create more elegant systems.

For this type of motherboards we will need compatible chassis. The design of most PC cases is not compatible with these new designs. However, manufacturers have taken over by launching high-end products compatible with this new connectivity.

Phanteks presents PC cases for wireless systems

During its exhibition at Computex 2024, Phanteks presented several quite interesting PC cases. One of the most impressive is the Evolution X², in addition to models Eclipse G400A and G400N which replace the P400 models. We also have the systems MV5 MKII and NV9 MKII which are updated and new Enthoo Pro Server Edition XL develop a server.

Most notable is the Evolv X² which, according to Phanteks, was developed to adapt to the needs of today’s users. It features an impressive modern aesthetic, very elegant and refined. It features brushed aluminum rear panels and tempered glass panels on the front and sides.

This new chassis includes an advanced cable management system integrated into the chassis itself. A new fan position has been established to maximize internal cooling. Thanks to the glass panels we can see the interior of the system which is spectacular. It supports motherboards with power connectors on the back.

We continue with the Eclipse G400A and G400N models which replace the current P400 and P400A. These Phanteks towers have a new design that aims to improve air circulation. It features a grid-like facade with a pattern similar to a brick structure for ample air intake.

As it could not be otherwise, it has a cable management system and also supports connectors on the back of the motherboard. The Eclipse G400A model stands out, featuring a new NEXLINQ hub that amplifies D-RGB and fan control with a single cable. The G400N model has double tempered glass.

We also have the new Phanteks PC NV5 MKII and NV9 MKII which are simple revisions of the NV5 and NV9 models. The only apparent improvement they receive is support for motherboards with connectors on the back.

One model that stands out a bit is the Enthoo Pro II Server Edition XL. This is an extended version of current models to be able to develop powerful servers and systems for artificial intelligence. It has the ability to support redundant power supplies. It also includes a dual-chamber system to design more flexible cooling systems. The facade features a brick-patterned grille system for better air circulation.
