POCO has just announced the international launch of its first two phones of 2021: the mid-range POCO F3 and the cheaper but equally powerful POCO X3 Pro for the game. Both introduce new Snapdragon processors.
The POCO F3 is the first true successor to POCO’s first terminal, the Pocophone F1 of 2018. Last year the POCO F2 Pro arrived, but technically there has never been a POCO F2 to take over.
The new features of the F3, which the brand calls “The Real Beast”, are worth the wait. For starters, it ships with the Snapdragon 870 at almost half the price. On the other hand, the POCO X3 Pro debuts with the Snapdragon 860.
Launch: When will the POCO F3 and POCO X3 Pro go on sale?
The POCO F3 was officially unveiled alongside the new POCO X3 Pro at an event online available on YouTube on March 22. Both will go on sale at the end of this March, while the POCO X3 has already been on sale since September.

Main new features of the POCO X3 Pro
Fans of the brand have had to wait a little longer for the POCO X3 Pro, which arrives six months after the original POCO X3. Still, it looks like it was worth it thanks to some of its new features.
The main change is the chipset. Instead of the Snapdragon 732G, the X3 Pro includes the Snadpragon 860, Qualcomm’s new custom processor. It’s basically a version overclockeada of the 2019 Snapdragon 855.
Like the 732G and 855, the 850 is still a 4G chip. But instead of using the old flagship architecture, it’s the most powerful 4G mobile chip on the market. Assuming it offers better performance than the 855, this should be a 50% improvement over the X3 NFC.
It comes with more RAM and storage (6GB + 128GB or 8GB + 526GB), which should help maximize the performance of the new chipset. Storage also uses the fastest standard, UFS 3.1.
The camera specs have also changed, but not by much. The only changes are to the two main lenses on the back. The main sensor goes from 64 MP to 48 MP, although with a slightly larger aperture (f / 1.79).
Something similar happens with the ultra wide angle, which goes from 13 MP to 8 MP, although the aperture remains the same in this case. Other lenses, including the camera selfie, remain the same (telemacro and depth of 2 MP and selfie 20 MP).
There is little news. The Pro has the same 6.67 ”120Hz LCD display (with a slight improvement over Gorilla Glass from 5 to 6). It has the same dimensions and weight and the same 33W load and the same 5160mAh battery.
The design also remains quite similar, although the X3 Pro is now available in three new colors: Phantom Black, Frost Blue and Metal Bronze. On the other hand, the mobile will be launched with the MIUI 12 on Android 11.
