Our verdict
While Predator: Killer of Killers has decent action scenes and a promise in his epilogue, he is painfully predictable and left me nostalgic for the film of the 80s ridiculous but passionate about 80s.

After Prey's success, the seventh film in the Predator universe, Dan Trachtenberg took the reins of the franchise centered on the extraterrestrial hunter. In the latest episode of the film series, the director takes viewers on an animated journey through time and space, according to the traces of the greatest warriors of humanity.
Predator: Killer of Killers consists of three stories. The first, located in snowy Scandinavia, covers the fate of Ursa, a Viking warrior on a path of revenge. In the second, we move to feudal Japan, following two separate samurai brothers, Kenji and Kiyoshi. The third story allows us to attend the struggle of a young ally pilot, John Torres, during the Second World War disorders.
The end that binds the three stories so that Killer of Killers looks less like an autonomous film and more like a prelude to the next film in the universe, Predator: Badlands, which takes place in first in November 2025.
I must admit that Predator is one of my series of favorite films. When I started watching the classic film of 1987, I did not expect much more than a Ringard Slasher. What I obtained was a real jewel of an action film – a story that was simple but engaging, skillfully shot and directed, with fairly impressive practical effects.
In addition, the predator led by Arnold Schwarzenegger is surprisingly (although probably involuntarily) hilarious. He reflects all the obsessions of the films of the Reagan era, filling almost all the frames with thorny guys and outsururs offering silly liners, while brandishing gigantic weapons.
Regarding the rest of the franchise, I had a lot of fun with the two most serious entries, like the predators (totally unfairly turned by fans), and the most silly, like Alien vs. Predator, a film so carefree and absurd that it is charming. The universe is in a ridiculous and often camping creative way – both clumsy and cool at the same time.
Unfortunately, the killer's killer is missing almost everything I love in the Predator franchise.

From the opening scene, Trachtenberg tries to create characters larger than life, convincing us that they are going through heartbreaking tragedies. But what is it for when the three tales are a package of shots that Hollywood has been going up for decades? The stories of Ursa, Samurais and Torres are painfully predictable from start to finish and lack creativity.
Instead of overthrowing the tropes and playing with viewers' expectations, perhaps just adding a touch of camp and satire, Trachtenberg sticks to the most obvious and boring solutions, making the killer of killers resemble that generated by the GPT cat. The film is sorely lacking in imagination, in particular compared to the best contemporary adult animated series.
The arcanic, invincible and (speaking of feudal Japan) are violent and entertaining, but at the same time, they tell convincing stories and visually of complex protagonists. Of course, these series have more time for the development of characters than a film, but passion can compensate a lot. However, Killer of Killers feels strangely soulless.
Hulu
Of the three stories presented in animated anthology, the third, which takes place during the Second World War, is the most interesting. Trachtenberg sneaks into a little humor here and there, and moreover, he takes the confrontation with the predator in the sky. Once Torres and other allied pilots engage in a shooting with a extraterrestrial hidden in a space fighter, the film finally obtains an essential breath of fresh air.
The epilogue also held a promise, in which we leave the earth to take a look at what seems to be the original planet of the predators. In the final, Trachtenberg again injects a comedy and even gives dedicated fans a wink.
Visually, the animation is good, but not revolutionary. The action sequences are dynamic, with a decent quantity of blood and blood to meet the needs of predatory fans. The history of the samurai also deserves to be appreciated for its various battle scenes and its use of various Japanese weapons.

Should you watch Predator: Killer of Killers?
If you are a fan of the Predator franchise and you miss the emblematic villain, you may want to try Killer of Killers. However, do not get your too high hopes.
The film has solid action scenes, but the stories are not surprising and do not bring many news to the universe. I cannot really choose memorable (or memorable, elsewhere) scenes, and I doubt that there will be liners that will stay in your mind for years.
If you have already seen any of the Predator films or if you're just not a fan of the series, you can miss Killer of Killer. After all, there are many more convincing events.
Predator: Killer of Killer is available for streaming on June 6, 2025. If you are in the United Kingdom, you can watch it on Disney + where subscriptions start at £ 4.99 per month. Those in America can broadcast the film on Hulu – You can register at only $ 9.99 per month For a level funded by advertising.
