Limited editions and custom versions of smartphones aren’t new, but it might be the craziest yet.
Realme has announced a special edition of the Realme 10 Pro in collaboration with… Coca-Cola. Yes, you read that right. The Chinese phone maker has teamed up with the world’s most valuable beverage brand to reinvent its latest budget phone.
As you’d expect, the changes are almost exclusively cosmetic, but the attention to detail here is impressive. The back of the phone features the Coca-Cola logo, with a two-tone design comprising the three colors associated with the brand – red, white and black.
A similar look can be found on the box, while the deluxe box it comes in includes an array of stickers, a custom figurine and a SIM ejector tool with bottle top handle.
However, the tweaks also extend to the software experience. It’s still the Realme UI 4.0 skin on Android 13 like the regular 10 Pro, but you get exclusive Coke wallpapers, ringtones, and custom charging sound. A new icon pack also adds a splash of red and white to every app on your device.
Kingdom
Elsewhere, things are unchanged from the Realme 10 Pro that originally launched last November. You still get a Snapdragon 695 chip under the hood, which means the phone supports 5G. It powers a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD screen and three cameras, consisting of a 108MP main screen, 2MP depth, and 16MP selfie.
There’s also a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging, along with stereo speakers and even a 3.5mm headphone jack.
However, you will pay a little more for the Coca-Cola edition. The only configuration available (8GB RAM, 128GB storage) will set you back ₹20,999 (around $254/£209). In comparison, the regular version starts at ₹18,999 (about $230 / £189). However, the latter starts with only 6 GB of RAM.
It doesn’t look like either will be heading to the UK and Europe anytime soon, although that’s exclusive to India. And unless you’re a super Coca-Cola fan, you’ll be better off with the Realme 10 Pro anyway.
