Despite the fact that AMD put the cat in the water at Computex by presenting its future Ryzen 7000, that does not mean that its eternal rival remains idly by. And we all know that Intel will stand up to its Intel Core 13 under the new Raptor Lake architecture. The battle between the two parties will therefore be tight. Well, we finally have the roadmap and the Intel Core 13 Release Dates and the future Xeon HEDT,
The most powerful desktop processor today is the Intel Core 12, but in this never-ending battle, staying on top usually doesn’t last more than a year. With AMD’s announcement of the Ryzen 7000, we could see a new king. Of course, the biggest manufacturer of PC processors wants to stand up to its Intel Core 13. Which will not be a simple update and promises an increase in performance. Will it be enough to keep the head? For the moment we do not know, but the release dates of the Intel Core 13 have leaked, as well as their motherboards. As well as those of the new Xeon Sapphire Rapids for workstations.
Intel Core 13 and Xeon HEDT Release Dates
Although Intel was absent from Computex, the news of its future processors is not over. Let’s not forget that in a few months the Intel Core 13 desktop processor will appear. The next generation of processors which will continue to use the LGA1700 socket of the 600 series boards. However, we will see new chipsets in the form of the 700 series.
Of them, the Z790 will be launched in October of the current year next to models ending in K. That is, those with overclocking unlocked as standard. While motherboards with H770 and B760 chipset will do so in 2023 next to models not ending in K. On the other hand, it seems that nor will there be an H710
Since Intel Core 13 processors work with the LGA1700 socket, can 600 series motherboards be used for ddr4 memory. However, with the advent of DDR5, it is clear that support for DDR4 will become increasingly weak. Rumors say that there are three manufacturers that will make models with Intel 700 chipsets with DDR4 memory.
On the other side we have HEDT or workstation processors. And it is that after several years of absence in said market, Intel will return to said market with a variant of its Xeons with Sapphire Rapids architecture for Placas base with W790 chipset which will not be compatible with Intel Core. The processors compatible with said socket will be the Xeon W-3400 and Xeon W-2400. By the way, none of them will support DDR4 and will only support DDR5. The most modest of these processors should have 24 P-Core cores and the most powerful 56 cores.
