As good filtration and more from retailers you have to take it with a little salt, but in the market we operate in everything is very volatile and subject to change. From the UK and Europe itself we have the first price figures for custom RTX 3080 Ti models and as we will see we have no choice but to use the typical phrase of Obelix of “these Romans are crazy”.
More expensive than the RTX 3090 just to be personalized?
From Lambda-Tek and SkyTech, we have the first “real” data (note that it is just listed not for sale as such) of custom models. Concretely, and although there are different prices for the same specific model, all GPUs are signed by GIGABYTE, so it seems to be the first AIB to arrive on the market with creditworthiness.
The models start at a scary £ 1,534 and go up to £ 1,803 in the worst-case scenario at the first dealership, especially the prices being as follows:
- RTX 3080 Ti Eagle OC – 1534.09 pounds
- RTX 3080 Ti Eagle – 1534.09 pounds
- RTX 3080 Ti Vision OC – 1623.60 pounds
- RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC – 1713.88 pounds
- RTX 3080 TI AORUS Master – 1803.39 pounds
- RTX 3080 Ti SUPRIM X – 1803.66 pounds
Or what the like, prices would start from 1,783 dollars to almost 2,100 dollars. If these are already crazy in themselves, the prices at SkyTech in Italy are even higher and also go up a bit.
From Skytech we can see three GIGABYTE models at these prices:
- RTX 3080 Ti Gaming OC – 2552 dollars
- RTX 3080 Ti Vision OC – 2641 dollars
- RTX 3080 Ti AORUS Master – 2769 dollars
Of course, these will not be MSRP prices and they will have to be more or less adjusted, but neither can we expect miracles as these are custom models and here it is the manufacturer who is really in control.
The RTX 3080 Ti, as fast as the RTX 3090 but with half the VRAM?
Rumors point to a price that should be between $ 999 and $ 1299, just above the RTX 3080 and below the RTX 3090, just like MSRP. The problem is, if the performance rumors are true, it would be much closer to the second than the first, making us think the price would be the higher of the two options.
The VRAM will be half compared to the high-end model, i.e. 12 GB of GDDR6X, so even with a few SM less, the bandwidth would be practically the same because the speed of its VRAMs barely varies (19 Gbps vs 19.5 Gbit / s).
As always, the performance offered, frequencies and temperatures you get will be the key to understanding if you are competing with the RX 6900 XT or against the RX 6800 XT from AMD. Either way, it won’t be cheap and the prices are out of control, the stock will surely run out in a few hours and the worst part is that the situation is far from normal. What will the price of the RTX 3080 Ti already on sale be?
