The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to be Xiaomi’s latest entry into the tablet market, continuing the company’s success with the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.

What specifications and features will the Xiaomi Pad 7 have?
Design
The Xiaomi Pad 7 is expected to retain the sleek and minimalist design language of the Xiaomi Pad 6 series.
While specific design details have yet to be confirmed, leaks suggest the Pad 7 won’t stray too far from its predecessor, with slim bezels, a metal chassis, and a lightweight build.

Xiaomi generally emphasizes portability and style in its tablets, so expect a polished look that will appeal to a wide range of users.

Even though the panel doesn’t match the vibrancy of OLED displays, the high refresh rate should provide a smooth and immersive user experience, especially for gaming and media consumption.
Future flagship models, expected in 2025, could get an upgrade to OLED, but for now the Pad 7 series will likely stick with the LCD screen.
Performance
In terms of performance, GSMArena reports that the Xiaomi Pad 7 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, making it a strong performer for most tasks, from multitasking to casual gaming.
The Pad 7 Pro is expected to be slightly more powerful, featuring the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, providing faster performance for more demanding users.

These mid-range processors are likely to handle most apps and games without any issues, although they can’t compete with high-end flagship tablets in terms of raw power.
Cameras
The camera setup on the Xiaomi Pad 7 should be functional but not revolutionary. Tablets in this price range generally focus less on camera performance than smartphones.
It’s likely that the Pad 7 will feature a modest rear camera for basic photography and a front-facing camera for video calls and online meetings.

Don’t expect flagship-level camera performance, but the tablet will likely provide clear images for casual use.
Battery and charging
GSMArena and Notebookcheck report that the Xiaomi Pad 7 would support 45W wired charging, which should provide decent speeds for recharging its likely large battery.
The Pad 7 Pro, on the other hand, could support faster 67W wired charging.
However, these charging speeds are a downgrade from the 120W charging available on the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro, once again indicating that these tablets are aimed at a more budget-friendly segment.

Battery life should be solid, especially with the power-efficient processors built in, making these tablets suitable for extended use throughout the day.
Software
Xiaomi’s Pad 7 series is expected to run on MIUI, the company’s custom Android skin optimized for larger screens. MIUI on tablets typically offers features like multi-window support, floating apps, and various productivity tools aimed at improving user experience.
The tablets will likely launch with Android 14 or Android 15, offering a modern software experience with the latest Android security and feature updates.
