It is true that since the Game Pass service arrived on our Xbox and PC, many players have wondered how would this game be with Live Gold, the old rewards system that Microsoft designed back in the days of the first Xbox that gave us a few games every month to add to our personal library of titles.
The fact is that since the arrival of the Xbox Game Pass, a good part of the Live Gold strategy no longer makes sense. It was normal that Microsoft wanted to give a reward but it had lowered the level so much – reserving the good for the monthly subscription – that it almost the least important thing was the titles they gave
Goodbye to Live Gold
As it is, it seems clear that Microsoft has decided to completely revamp its services and eliminate Xbox Live Gold forever, through a strategy that will look a little more like Game Pass, moreover, we are surely facing the arrival of some kind of version light which will be more useful than what we have now where the games that are coming are quite consumable.

As you can see in the tweet posted a few hours ago, Xbox Game Pass is completely redesigned to offer four alternatives
25 games per month
This new Xbox Live Gold comes with the novelty that It will allow you to enjoy your favorite games online and will add 25 Game Pass titles for us to enjoy each month. We understand that it will be a more or less fixed catalog that will have regular entries and exits but that will allow us to enjoy each one for a few weeks, so that it is possible to complete them calmly and without haste.
The price of Game Pass Core, as the current Xbox Live Gold will be called, will be around 5.99 dollars and we will have an annual payment option to save a peak. Now, what if you paid in advance for several months for this old service created for the original Xbox? Well, don’t worry because you obviously won’t lose them, they are automatically renamed in the way that Microsoft decided to implement from September 1st.
Indeed, it will be the moment when this whole Game Pass remodel plan is coming to fruition and the various alternatives that we will have entered into force and which, in the absence of official confirmation, seem quite substantiated by Microsoft. So stay tuned, because this new PC-only mod can be very, very interesting.
