In February 2022, we learned of ViacomCBS and NBCUniversal’s intention to bring their respective content to Europe under a single platform, which will be called SkyShowtime. This, in turn, was born from the union of two other brands: Sky (same owner as Peacock) and Showtime (by ViacomCBS).

The price that the new subscription platform will have is a bit complicated to predict, especially if we take into account that it will include the content of two services in diffusion many.

Will SkyShowtime arrive in Latin America?
Unless there are last minute changes, content from Paramount+ and Peacock will not reach Latin America via SkyShowtime, but the two differentiated platforms will remain.
As of March 4, 2021, the Paramount+ service is also available in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, in Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. In the press release announcing the birth of SkyShowtime, it was assured that the new platform would include “more than 10,000 hours of entertainment from some of the best creators and the most popular content in the world”.
In addition to classics and programs aimed at a family audience, the new service will be the platform for exclusive films and series that will arrive every month. Titles from Showtime, Nickeldeon, Paramount Pictures, Paramount+ Originals, Sky Studios, Universal Pictures and Peacock will be included.
