Slow Horses, the spy series based on Mick Herron’s novel series, is one of the most exciting productions on Apple TV+. The British series is a real treat for spy fans, quite different from the bombastic adventures of James Bond or Ethan Hunt.
Apple’s series combines captivating puzzles with dark humor and charismatic characters. The leader is Lamb, misanthropic, slobbering, ruthless and incredibly efficient, played by the incomparable Gary Oldman.

The next installment of the series will debut on Apple TV+ with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday September 4, 2024.

What will be the plot of Slow Horses season 4?
The new season of the series is based on Mick Herron’s fourth book, Spook Street.
The novel focuses on David Cartwright, River’s grandfather and a retired intelligence agent who suffers from dementia. When the old spy begins to unwittingly reveal secrets that should have remained deeply buried, River realizes that his grandfather is in real danger.
As River languishes as usual, Jackson Lamb, who worked with David back in the day, begins his own action.
