There are many rumors about the next-generation consoles for SONY and Microsoft, but sometimes there are so many confirmations from some of them and from different sources that we can just ignore them.
It is well known that Microsoft is working on a console, currently called Lockhart, which will have less hardware than Xbox Series X and that will be expensive, but now it seems SONY and intends to pass on to Microsoft in that segment. New rumors say that SONY will be launching not one but two playing on PlayStation this year, a base version PS5 Pro to be done for 8K gaming fix.
In fact SONY was renaming its console
It is known that Microsoft's Xbox X Series will have 11.8 TFLOP graphics capabilities, while the PS5 will have 12.6 TFLOPs. The idea behind this is that if Microsoft is to introduce an expensive version of its console (according to rumors it may be called Xbox Series S, but currently the name of its code is Lokheheart), SONY will introduce the PlayStation 5 version so that it can compete in that segment.
So, of course the proposed strategy here for SONY the PS5 we know so far will be the PS5 Pro, and at the same time they'll be launching another PS5 that will have more hardware (possibly a more efficient GPU, less RAM and less storage) there and it can compete with Microsoft. In other words, what they would do would be to introduce the modest and cheapest model of the PS5, and then make the PS5 Pro currently edited.
PS5 versions, PS5 Pro … and prices
Microsoft has yet to confirm any information about Lockheart (Xbox Series S), though it is known that the fact that they are working on another Xbox Series X is absolutely correct. On the other hand, if this SONY information is correct, then He specifies that his next console will have 9.2 TFLOPs for maximum GPU performance. It will be like this:
PlayStation 5 Pro | Playstation 5 | PlayStation 4 Pro | Playstation 4 |
---|---|---|---|
12.6 TFLOPs | 9.2 TFLOPs | 4.19 TFLOPs | 1.84 TFLOPs |

This SONY move certainly wouldn't be taken that far, in our view for three main reasons:
- On the other hand, it presents a battle for Microsoft in all its parts.
- There was a lot of speculation about the cost of making the console. Launching the PS5 Pro model would allow for a price increase, increasing the sales revenue of the consoles.
- It would cost SONY the same to produce both consoles, which in turn would be similar but the version had lower frequencies and less RAM, and yet its presence in the market would increase.
What do you think? Do you think SONY will launch successfully, Two types of PlayStation 5 from the first minute?
