AMD processors based on Bulldozer construction continue to speak. The overclocker Der8auer was able to reach 8.1 GHz speed.
It used an Elmor EVC2 controller and a diagnostic chip, which, connected to a pinpoint not normally allowed on the mother board of ASUS 970 PRO GAMING / AURA, allowed you to read all the VRM cycles on the motherboard and perform hands-on adjustments. It also used the 2,666 MHz DDR3 Corsair Vengeance memory on the system. However, an accident happened along the way: while removing the stock of cool AMD from the mother board, the CPU remained attached to the cooler, resulting in some pins (mother mia). Fortunately, things were fixed with a screwdriver.
In conclusion, the AMD FX-8350 (32nm) reached a speed of 8,127 MHz with 1,920 vCore. However, this processor only gets a note (one-by-one) less than what we can get with current AMD models.
