Currently, there are many programs that promise to help you download YouTube videos so that you can save them to your computer or smartphone and watch them even when there is no internet connection.
In fact, we ourselves have compiled a guide with several of these programs that help you download videos from YouTube and also another with the programs that allow you to download music from YouTube.
However, we wanted to dedicate an article to you in which we talk about a specific program: Tubemate. This program has been running for a long time and gets updates fairly regularly. Therefore, below we share with you how to use Tubemate to download YouTube videos.
How to Download YouTube Videos with Tubemate
Tubemate is not an app available on Google Play, at least not yet. You will therefore need to use a web browser, either on your mobile or on your computer, and open the official Tubemate.net site.
If you use your smartphone Android, you may first need to configure in ‘Settings’ the option that will allow your device to install apps from sites other than Google Play.
When you access the Tubemate.net website, you will see several download options as shown in the image above. You will only have to follow the steps that appear to download the application on your device.
Once the program is installed, you’ll see that it has an interface very similar to that of YouTube, which makes things much easier: it won’t take long to get used to.
You can search the app for the video you want to download using a green arrow displayed at the top. The app will show you the different resolutions and qualities at which you can download it, as well as converting it to an MP3 or OGG audio file.
Videos downloaded to your device’s memory can be viewed without entering the Tubemate app. Just access through a typical folder manager to see the list of downloaded content.
It’s as easy as downloading YouTube videos to your smartphone or computer!
