Apple’s latest launch event has just ended, and in September, the iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 10 stole the show. However, and to my surprise, another new product particularly caught my attention.
Many fans were probably hoping for an Apple Watch Ultra 3 reveal, but that didn’t happen. Instead, we got a new colorway of the Ultra 2, and that’s what I found more eager than any other brand-new, fruit-flavored gadget.
The new edition comes in black titanium and looks simply stunning with its understated satin black finish. It’s not that the existing Ultra in natural finish is bad, but I’ve never really liked it.
The black and orange colorway of the Samsung Galaxy Ultra caught my attention the most, which isn’t a surprise, it’s just that no one expected this announcement during today’s keynote.
This satin finish is achieved through a “custom sandblasting process,” and Apple claims that “the diamond-like carbon vapor deposition coating on grade 5 titanium makes it scratch-resistant and durable.”
Meanwhile, the “back crystal is made of a matching dark zirconia.”
Well, I don’t really care what it’s made of, but it looks amazing, with the orange action button standing out even more – at least in Apple’s high-res images.
The Black Titanium Ultra 2 is paired with updated Trail Loop, Alpine Loop and Ocean Band bracelets with black hardware and there is also a new black titanium Milanese Loop (available in natural or black titanium).
I never thought I’d want an Apple Watch Ultra, but look at me now…and I bet it’s the model James Bond would wear, too.
