Created in 2016, the adaptation of John le Carré’s novel The Night Manager quickly became a hit. The mix of espionage, Tom Hiddleston’s charm and the inclusion of several other British stars resulted in huge success.
The series won three Golden Globes (for the performances of Olivia Colman, Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie) and was the most-watched TV show of 2016 in the UK. However, The Night Manager ended after just one season, leaving fans hungry for more.
Although there were timid rumors of a return of the series a year ago, precise information was only revealed recently. In cooperation with Amazon, the BBC will create two additional seasons of The Night Manager.
Even though Tom Hiddlestone’s greatest wave of popularity may have passed, many fans are certainly looking forward to his return as the intelligent spy. Here’s everything we know about the next season of the series.
When could The Night Manager season 2 be released?
Film ing for the new season will begin later this year. However, The Night Manager season 2 premiere date is unknown. Based on the filming date, we estimate that it could appear around mid-2025 at the earliest.
The second part of the series will consist of 6 episodes.
In the UK, The Night Manager season 2 will be available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. In the United States, the series will be broadcast on Prime Video.

What will be the plot of season 2 of The Night Manager?
For now, the plot of season 2 remains unknown. The BBC has only revealed that the action will take place eight years after the events of the season 1 finale.
The first season presented all the events of Le Carré’s book, the rest of the scenario will therefore depend solely on the writers of the series.

John le Carré’s work has long inspired me and working closely with him on Season 1 was an honor and a pleasure. I didn’t take expanding The Night Manager beyond the original book lightly, but an idea came to me a few years ago that felt true to this unique world of dark corners and identities shady. No one combines espionage suspense with a deep exploration of the human soul like le Carré. I hope that in some way we can honor his restless genius in this new exploration. I’m thrilled to be working again with Tom Hiddleston, Stephen Garrett and the team at The Ink Factory, and to welcome the brilliant director Georgi Banks-Davies to our ranks.
Who are the cast and crew of The Night Manager season 2?
It was confirmed that Tom Hiddleston will return as Agent Jonathan Pine.
Season 2 will also feature Olivia Colmanwho will once again play intelligence officer Angela Burr.

The series is written by David Farr, who also serves as executive producer alongside Hugh Laurie. All episodes of The Night Manager will be directed by Georgi Banks-Davies (I Hate Suzie, Paper Girls).
