And it pleasantly surprised us, mainly because it was not a game we expected with so many implementations, since there are more and more games that seek to be the best in a genre but fail. At first it seems like a normal shooter, what we are used to, but when we see what it wants to offer, we realize what it really is.
The gameplay is extremely frenetic, since it is a third-person game with exoskeletons, suits that will allow us to define what we want our character to look like. But the tactical factor lies in the decision-making that we will have, since each game can be completely different for many reasons, but the one that has caught our attention the most is the one on which the developers have placed the most emphasis, natural disasters. .
How Natural Disasters (Force of Nature) Work in Exoborne
When we see the trailer of the game, one of the things that can most catch our attention is how chaotic it is to see the natural phenomenon that appears, the tornado that creates great chaos during the cutscene. It is not only aesthetic as the developers themselves have indicated, and they have told us that it is one of the many ways that the game has to make each game unique.
Natural phenomena or disasters that can be found in Exoborne They take place through events, which will allow us to change the course of the game after fulfilling a series of requirements, such as defending an area for a certain time. This will allow users to invoke a series of disasters (which will expand as the game develops), to make all the actions of their enemies difficult.
Rain, fire, tornadoes, storms… are some of the cases that can be found, but it is not even something that will stay there, and there will also be merged disasters, as the producers have indicated to us:

It is normal that we think that the performance of the game can be affected by these types of things, and the particles generated, for example, by rain or tornadoes can be a problem for many computers. In this case, during the series of questions, I spoke with the developers to find out if this would really be a problem in the game, since we have seen cases like Battlefield 2042 in which this type of phenomenon made it practically unplayable at launch.
The producers and developers assured that they were fully confident that their game would be released on day one with the necessary optimization to prevent a mid-high-end computer from having problems. In the gameplay itself (which was a video, so I didn’t trust it too much either), the FPS seemed to remain quite stable, even when the group started fighting during a weather phenomenon, with graphics as impressive as you can imagine.

The principle of the game, as we well know, is quite simple, something that characterizes Extraction Shooter, enter a game, collect everything you can and try to survive to fill your warehouse with objects that you can reuse later. But the customization goes much further than we think, and we will have to choose between three basic classes (at the beginning) that will define our style of play.
This implies that we can choose a class with light armor, another with medium armor and the last with heavy armor, each of them fulfilling a series of roles that can be found in practically any support, scout and tank game. But what is clear is that it is much more different from what we would have, for example, in an MMORPG, since it is the skills that, in the end, make the difference.
One of the examples we could see in terms of gameplay is a group that included all three roles, the support character was very versatile, allowing him to move easily anywhere, while the explorer could reveal enemies by getting out of the tank with the mission of using his shield to avoid the damage that his equipment could suffer.
Items, Loot and Equipment
In an Extraction Shooter there is something that cannot be missing, the “loot”, being able to eliminate enemies and obtain all the objects that they drop, as well as explore places to obtain better equipment. The loot system is very similar to other games, there will be areas of greater difficulty that will attract more veteran users, causing a pitched war by having a system (if we activate an event) that will allow all players on the map to see us.
Every part of our character is fundamental, and it is not only the weapons that influence, which as you can imagine are extremely important, but are useless if we do not have a good exoskeleton. And this type of armor has a series of basic abilities such as eliminating fall damage or being able to jump higher, but they also have others that completely change the gameplay.
This means that it is extremely important to be clear about what type of armor we want to use, as each will imply a completely different playstyle.
