To celebrate the release of Dune: Part 2 on March 1, Microsoft has created a custom Xbox Series S inspired by Arrakis that is, without a doubt, a collector’s item for the most fanatical. This console, also the world’s first floating controller. This controller floats on what is assumed to be an Arrakis dune and is inseparably included. The operation should not have much mystery since it probably includes, like the basis of control, a series of magnets which will be responsible for keeping the whole thing levitating.
Best of all, you can get the controller and console for free. To do this, simply follow the Xbox account on X (Twitter) and repost (previously it was called retweet) the gift message using the hashtag #XboxDunePartTwoSweepstakes. To participate in the draw we have until March 25 and must be over 18 years old.
This gift is available almost anywhere in the world, so it is not necessary to live in the United States, it is enough that the Xbox has a physical presence in the country. At the moment this exclusive edition is not expected to hit the market, so entering the raffle is the only chance we have to get it.
The console with Dune motifs and the floating controller is not the only thing that Microsoft has prepared for us to celebrate the premiere of the second part of Dune, since it has also prepared a surprise for Flight Simulator players.
Dune also Flight Simulator
The ultimate flight simulator, Flight Simulator, has also joined the Dune: Part 2 celebration with a new free extension and in which we put ourselves at the controls of the Royal Atreides Ornithopter, a ship shaped like an ornithopter to fly in the skies of Arrakis, powered by four oscillating wings designed to reach high speeds and with dizzying accelerations.
This new expansion, now available, allows us to test our skills in the cabin of this ship. To learn how to master this machine, 3 tutorials are included to learn how to take off, land and use free fall. Once we have learned and mastered the basic concepts of this ship’s movement, we must prove our worth through 6 tests.
5 of the 6 tests test our worth in time trials, while in the last one we must demonstrate our control abilities to achieve a high-risk rescue of an instructor who is about to be overwhelmed by a Sandstorm. In the video that we show you on these lines we can see how Royal Atreides Ornithopter works to get an idea.
