At the end of September, a new version of the Raspberry Pi was presented, notably version 5, a new version which represents a substantial change compared to the previous generation and which, for some manufacturers, is more than sufficient to create a mini PC.
Manufacturer Edatec is working on a mini PC with model number ED-IPC3020 that will hit the market in the coming months. The new Raspberry Pi 5 features a 4-core Broadcom BCM2712 ARM Cortex-A64 processor with a maximum speed of 2.4 GHz and a VideoCore VII graphics card with 4K HDMI output, more than enough processor and graphics to basic office tasks.
As for memory, this model is available in versions with 4 and 8 GB of RAM. In terms of connectivity, the Raspberry Pi 5 has Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5. In addition, it has two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports.

This new mini PC will hit the market in early 2024 via AliExpress and will be available in different configurations depending on user needs. On the one hand, there is the version with 4 and 8 GB of RAM with microSD cards for the operating system 32 or 64 GB.

The operating system included in this mini PC is Raspberry Pi OS, the operating system that works better than this type of device. If our needs involve the use of Windows applications, things get complicated since we will not be able to install it.
If Raspberry Pi OS as an operating system is not enough, we can install any other Linux distribution.
