It looks like the idea of foldable smartphones is making its way to the laptop market. This new type of laptops, which we could well consider as tablets, offer different modes of use. Thanks to this great versatility, we have different modes of work and use, providing the user with great versatility.
Compact, adaptable and very powerful
With this new system, they sought to improve the solution they launched in 2020. This new system is based on a 16 inch OLED panel, which represents an increase in surface area of 22%. Additionally, the chassis has been reduced by 25%, to make it lighter and more portable. The outer bezels have also been scaled down, to improve the experience. It lacks nothing and, that is, the back cover is made of totally recycled fabric.
The power in this system is placed by a 12th generation Intel vPro processorusing templates Intel Core i7 including Iris Xe graphics. That it is a folding system does not mean that it must have limited power, far from it.
This new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold has a unit 1 TB SSD and allows up to 32GB LPDDR5 RAM. Everything is designed to achieve the best performance and functionality in daily use.
In addition and as an option, we can acquire a wireless keyboard who has backlight. This keyboard is a full-size keyboard that features a TrackPoint and a haptic touch panel which allows it to operate attached to the laptop itself or separately. It can be attached to the bottom panel by pictures to simulate the classic laptop design and provide a full 12-inch screen experience.

Lenovo has upped the screen on the ThinkPad X1 Fold, seeking to deliver better productivity and a better fit for hybrid work styles. This laptop allows you to have a large work screen or a dual screen, adapting to all kinds of needs.
We have a big 16.3 inch foldable OLED panel
This new system has 10mm bottom edges and in unfolded format it measures just 8.6mm. In folded mode, it’s not much bigger, measuring just 17.4mm. Moreover, this Lenovo system weighs only 1.28 kilos without the keyboard, with the keyboard and the stand, it goes up to 1.9 kilos.
According to Lenovo, the ThinkPad X1 Fold, which ships with Windows 11 installed, will be released in late November in the US starting at $2,999. No release date has been confirmed in Europe, but it could be early December.
