If you grew up as a gamer in the 2000s, this may have been your favorite laptop at the time. The truth is that it had a gallery of very good games, highlighting the exclusive ones, many of which came from the great Sony sagas of the time. But which ones are the best of all?
The best of the legendary PSP
So our tribute to such a beloved console is that, with the help of our friends at Metacritic, we’ve looked at which five exclusives you need to play no matter what. No excuses allowed. With that out of the way, let’s get started.
5. Tekken 5: Resurrection from the Dark
The PlayStation Portable received this miniature version of the game in 2005. Tekken 5a game released at that time. This laptop version could be said to be the definitive version, as it featured several additions that put it on par with its desktop version. It has a score of 88 on Metacritic.
4. Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
Another great saga that also wanted to release a title for this Sony console was Grand Theft Auto. They released this title that, according to the franchise’s own fans, is as good as those of the main saga, if not better than some of them. If you haven’t played it yet, we don’t know what you’re waiting for. Its Metacritic score is 88.
3. Wipeout Pure
Racing game fans, don’t worry, because we haven’t forgotten about you. One of the first titles to be featured on this console also turned out to be one of the best. Its futuristic location sets it apart from other similar ones. That said, it’s no surprise that it has a solid 88 on Metacritic.
2. Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker
And we continue with the bingo, because the PSP had some truly great games, and this one is no exception. We think this is one of the Metal Gear Solid the most underrated of the entire franchise, and the truth is that it has nothing to envy the rest of the installments of the saga. If you like these games, then you can not not play it, especially having an 89 on Metacritic.
1. God of War: Chains of Olympus
We obviously couldn’t leave without mentioning the good Kratos. The best thing about this episode is that it presents us with some pieces of story that are crucial for the development of the protagonist, and do not remain anecdotal. In addition, the gameplay was perfectly adapted to the PSP controls. It has a score of 91 on Metacritic.
And you? What is your favorite PSP exclusive? The truth is that, for us, even if it does not appear in this list, one of the games that we enjoyed the most on PSP was Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.
